    Minimum Qualifications:

    Proper loading in and out of trailersHandle goods and equipment properly to avoid damage or breakageSort and label skids and place in proper locationsPerform inventory count based on bills of lading, trailer manifests or packing slips when loading and unloading goods and when loading and unloading shipments and returnsAssist drivers in loading / unloading of goods or equipmentPerforms daily routine inspection to forkliftMaintain good housekeeping around dock areaStack goods neatly and safelySubmit needed reports and information in a timely mannerPerform basic arithmetical calculations including addition, subtraction, division and multiplicationAssist supervisor in providing on the job training to new staff, participants, clients and volunteersLoad and secure shipments according to proper procedureUnderstand and implement safe, efficient freight handling and lifting proceduresRegular and reliable attendance is requiredOther duties as assigned

    We are seeking a dependable and motivated Forklift Mechanic employee at our Lemont, IL location.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Light maintenance duties on warehouse equipmentForklift maintenanceYard maintenanceGeneral clean-up in dock, warehouse and yardDust furniture, equipment, partitions, walls, etc.Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, floors, toilet, mirrors, tables, chairs, refrigerators, microwaves, etc. in restrooms, break rooms and/or kitchenettesReplenish supplies in restrooms, break rooms and kitchenSweep, mop, vacuum and/or hand scrub floors using brooms, mops and vacuum cleanersEmpty trash cans and recyclables into disposal areasWipe down walls and woodwork, doors, wall hangings, baseboards, etc.Identify and communicate potential safety or maintenance issuesComply with all safety policies and procedures relating to performance of tasks, use of products or supplies and incident reportingWork Environment and physical demands include, but are not limited to: walking, standing, climbing, bending, kneeling, push and pull objects, lift and move objects, repetitive bending and lifting, repetitive arm movements and transporting between buildings within facility in all weather conditions

    REQUIREMENTS:
