We are seeking a Shop Technician to become an integral part of our team! You will be mainly responsible for diagnosing and repairing/tuning-up power equipment.
Responsibilities:
Accurately diagnose and repair power equipmentAssemble and stock power equipment and accessoriesRotate, down stock, front, and price shop merchandiseSharpen chainsaw chains and mower bladesUtilize vendor warranty processes to submit warranty claims for processingRecommend products based on customer's unique situationRegularly clean repair and shop counter areasAttend training sessions to further product and technical knowledgeInput part orders accurately and notify managers of immediate part needsCheck in customer equipment for repairOccasional travel to other store locations to help with equipment repairsQualifications:
Previous experience with small engines is requiredThorough knowledge of 2-cycle and 4-cycle engine systemsAbility to expand on one's knowledge base to stay current with power equipment trendsA positive attitude and strong work ethicWillingness to learn and be receptive to new ideasWork well individually or as part of a groupCompany DescriptionFELDMANS FARM & HOME is a Kansas City-based and locally-owned family business founded in 1971.
