    Job DescriptionJob DescriptionStarting pay: Between $16.25 and $19.50 per hour, with a possible raise of $0.50 per hour after 90 days, plus extra pay based on performance.

    Location: 5561 Grayson Road in Harrisburg, PA.

    Hours: 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM

    Work Environment: Warehouse temperatures range as low at -10 degrees to as high as 80 degrees.
     

    SUMMARY: Order selectors are responsible for filling customer orders and delivering the finished pallet to the correct loading dock in a manner that meets company standards for safety and productivity.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Adhere to food and safety policies and quality standards.Efficiently select customers’ orders.Correctly label each case with a pick label to help drivers identify product needed.Ensure that the correct quantity and product is selected and shipped.Locate and select product using a voice-driven selecting system.Build pallets with orders and deliver them to the correct loading door.Shrink wrap completed pallets before placing them on the loading dock.Maintain a consistent pace to work in a fast-paced working environment.Maintain equipment and report on malfunctions or safety hazards.

    SKILLS REQUIRED:

    Ability to operate an electric pallet jackAbility to lift cases of product weighing up to and sometimes exceeding 70 lbs.Ability to properly stack product within the parameters of the pallet based on case weight to avoid product damage.Ability to correctly read and identify product descriptions and locate product locations to ensure orders are selected properly.Ability to read English and perform simple mathematical calculations.Ability to work in temperature varied environments and handle the demands of the departments.

    Founded in 1901, Feeser’s, Inc. is a family owned and operated full-line food service distributor servicing the Mid-Atlantic region.  Feeser’s provides an expansive offering of dry, refrigerated, and frozen products to a diverse customer base comprised of restaurants, healthcare facilities, educational facilities, and other institutions. 

    What You Will Do

    Build and maintain a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads. Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs. Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale. Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest. Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems. Provides periodic territory sales forecasts. Day to Day sales calls for your territory’s customer base. Acquiring new customers within your territory. Work with all departments with Feeser’s including Transportation, Purchasing, Warehouse and Accounting to resolve customer issues. Assisting customers with product questions, market updates, and menu/recipe ideas. Daily Review and Analyze territory sales performance information within the CRM System. Answer all customer calls and questions in a precise timely manner. Management of all account receivables within assigned territory. Participation in general sales meetings and regional sales meetings both in person and virtually. Work with all departments with Feeser’s including Transportation, Purchasing, Warehouse and Participation in training seminars, Manufacturer Tours, and Food Shows. Work with Brokers and Manufacturer Reps by selling specific new items to customers in assigned territory. Contacting all appropriate customers and completing all required paperwork within 24 hours on a Manufacturer Recall. Maintain up to date data within our CRM System for existing customers and prospective customers. Completing and returning all required documentation within the time parameters Management has requested. 
    Skills Needed to Succeed Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent sales and negotiation skills. Organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to function in a high-paced environment.
    Requirements We Look For A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no single DUI in the last three years and no multiple-DUI within seven years) Previous experience working in the Food Service, Restaurant, or Hospitality industries preferred. Current automobile insurance with the following limits of liability: Bodily injury - $100,000 each person and $300,000 each accident; property damage - $100,000 is required.

    SUMMARY: The role of a high reach operator entails the efficient and safe handling in the lifting and moving of product throughout the facility to its correct storage area in the warehouse.

    POSITIONS ARE AVAILABLE ON THE FOLLOWING SHIFTS: Monday through Friday - 4:00pm until 90% of workload completeSunday through Thursday - 6:00pm until Finish (mandatory OT, as needed) 

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESFill pick locations in an accurate and timely manner to avoid slowing down the picking process. Stacking empty pallets and relocation of pallets. Movement of product to the correct locations in the warehouse. Performing quality checks on new inbound product when preparing it for storage. Carryout daily forklift requirements such as recharging its battery and reporting any equipment malfunctions or faults to the supervisor or technicians.  Maintain equipment per company standards in a neat, clean, orderly fashion, leaving equipment clean and ready to use for next operator.   Stack products by hand in warehouse locations when the situation demands. Reporting damage or safety concerns to managers and supervisors. Restocking bins with product when locations become empty or low in quantity based on RF system. Maintain warehouse stock in a neat, orderly, and ready to ship condition, free of damage and in good date as required. Pick cases for outbound shipment when required to support timely dispatch of trucks or customer pickups.Maintain a clean work environment per food safety and company standards.  Assist in always keeping facility and surrounding premises in audit ready condition.  Other duties as requested by management. 
    SKILLS REQUIRED:Must have a good knowledge of warehouse arrangement, layout, and functionality. Knowledge of using a RF system to track product within the warehouse. An understanding and knowledge of food safety regulations. Must have good communication and be able to perform simple mathematical calculations and adhere to instructions. Must be effective in a team-oriented working environment. 

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:  Forklift certification and training required.   1-year minimum experience on forklift required. Must be at least 18 years of age. 
    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to work in temperature varied environments for extended periods of time, ranging from -10 degrees F to 90 degrees F, and handle the demands of the departments. Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces. Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift equipment up to 100 pounds. Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another. Must possess visual acuity, i.e., close, distance, and color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust.   Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Operating machinery and/or power tools / Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment. Noisy environments / Hazardous conditions. Must possess visual acuity, i.e., close, distance, and color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust.
