    Fayetteville Contractors, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager / Estimator to join our team. This position is designed for an experienced construction professional with knowledge of both excavation and asphalt paving who is seeking a long-term opportunity to manage projects from estimating through completion.

    Working alongside our experienced Project Managers and Estimators, this position will assist with estimating, bidding, project management, scheduling, and project coordination for public and private construction projects from pre-bid through project closeout.

    Job Description:

    Assist with identifying and pursuing excavation and paving projects within the Company's core markets.Assist in analyzing and interpreting contract documents, engineering plans, specifications, geotechnical reports, and bid requirements.Prepare quantity takeoffs and assist with detailed cost estimates using HCSS, Bluebeam, Agtek, and other estimating software.Solicit and evaluate supplier, subcontractor, trucking, and material quotations.Assist in preparing competitive bid proposals for municipal, PennDOT, commercial, industrial, and private projects.Assist with developing project schedules and construction sequencing.Support Project Managers with project startup, planning, coordination, and project execution.Monitor project costs, production, change orders, subcontractor performance, and project profitability.Coordinate with field personnel, foremen, dispatch, shop personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers throughout each project.Visit job sites as needed to assist with project management, field coordination, progress tracking, and problem solving.Assist with project documentation, contract administration, billing support, and project closeout.Work in a team environment, collaborating closely with Project Managers, Estimators, Operations, and Accounting.Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, engineers, municipalities, subcontractors, suppliers, and fellow team members.

    Qualifications:

    Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Building Construction, or equivalent construction experience preferred.2-5 years of estimating, project management, project engineering, field supervision, or heavy civil construction experience preferred.Knowledge of HCSS (HeavyBid/HeavyJob), Bluebeam, Agtek, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, or similar construction software preferred.Experience with municipal, PennDOT, commercial, industrial, or private construction projects is preferred.Strong mathematical, analytical, organizational, and computer skills.Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and organized with the ability to recognize discrepancies and solve problems proactively.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to project sites throughout our service area as needed.

     

    Hours: Monday-Friday, generally 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (additional hours as project schedules and bid deadlines require)

    Salary Range: $70,000-$95,000 annually

    Full-Time / Salary based on experience

    Excavation & Paving Laborers & Operators

    Core Competencies & Requirements:

    2+ Years of Excavation or Paving experience2+ Years running heavy construction equipmentValid Driver's LicensePerforms routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or repairs to the supervisor; cleans equipment.Assists in the installing and maintenance of traffic control devices.Plows snow, salts roads, and walkways according to policy.Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.Paving Operators/Laborers must have working knowledge of and understand the screed on an 8’ and/or 10’ paver.Paving Operator/Laborer will have the ability to operate skid steer with broom and milling head attachments.Must be pleasant to both internal and external customers, while maintaining a professional attitude and demeanor.Able to follow a task to completion.Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, as well as reach with hands and arms.Frequently required to stand, talk and hear instructions, walk sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.Must dress appropriately for outdoor work, including boots, long pants, and any other provisions required for spending any duration of time outside in the heat, cold, dry, and or wet conditions.Ability to lift or move 25 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds on occasion.

    Fayetteville Contractors is recruiting for a working Foreman to join our Paving Division. The Foreman is responsible for the managing and directing of specific projects assigned to them by the Project Manager, in such a manner as to provide cost effectiveness, optimum profitability in operations and promote a harassment-free, safe work environment and culture.

    Responsibilities:

    Extensive knowledge of all aspects of asphalt paving operations.Manage daily paving operations and lead the assigned crew in a safe, productive, and professional manner.Review project plans, specifications, and scope of work prior to the start of each project.Work closely with the Project Manager, Dispatcher, and Operations team to ensure manpower, equipment, trucking, materials, and traffic control are coordinated before work begins.Maintain clear communication with the Project Manager regarding daily progress, production, schedule changes, field conditions, and any issues affecting the project.Ensure work is completed according to project plans, specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations.Operate paving equipment and perform other heavy equipment and construction-related duties as required.Complete daily reports, timekeeping, equipment inspections, and other required project documentation accurately and on time.Promote, execute, and adhere to the Company's Safety Program.Attend daily toolbox talks, weekly safety meetings, and jobsite safety inspections.Work with the Safety Department to investigate accidents, incidents, equipment damage, or near misses, and ensure proper procedures are followed in accordance with the Company's Safety Program.Help train, mentor, and develop crew members while promoting accountability, teamwork, and professionalism.Collaborate with Project Managers and other departments on special initiatives and operational improvements as required.Overtime and weekend work as required.

    Requirements:
