We are searching for an independent, hard-working, detail oriented Controller with experience in e-commerce (DTC) and wholesale (B2B) . This role will oversee the company’s accounting operations, financial reporting, cash flow management, and financial processes while also running the company’s day to day accounting functions. The ideal candidate is tech savvy, analytical, organized, proactive, and experienced in managing financial operations within a growing business.
Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, vendor payments, and account reconciliationsUtilize the company ERP system to match payments, reconcile transactions, and maintain accurate financial records across business operationsMaintain and oversee bookkeeping and financial reporting through QuickBooks Online, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and legal requirementsPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including financial statements, general ledger reviews, and trial balancesMonitor cash flow, budgets, expense tracking, and overall financial performance to support operational decision-makingCoordinate with external CPA partners throughout the accounting cycle, including reporting, compliance, and year-end processesAnalyze financial data and provide reporting insights and recommendations to leadershipDevelop, implement, and improve accounting procedures, internal controls, and scalable financial processesSupport forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning initiatives to align with company growth objectivesAssist with operational scaling efforts and cross-functional process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial operationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferredCPA certification or additional accounting credentials are a plusProficiency with QuickBooks Online, ERP systems, and modern accounting softwareStrong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, and general accounting principlesAdvanced Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet management skillsExcellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilitiesStrong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and accountabilityAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentEffective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teamsProven ability to handle sensitive financial information with professionalism and confidentialityExperience in apparel, wholesale, ecommerce, distribution, or other product-based industries is highly preferred
