As the Treasury Management Officer, you will lead outside sales and business development efforts, focusing on building and growing deposit relationships with businesses, nonprofits, and government entities. You’ll take a consultative, relationship-focused approach to attract new clients, expand services with existing customers, and drive growth in treasury management solutions—especially non-interest-bearing accounts.
Additionally, you will:
Develop and execute a consistent outside sales and networking strategy to win new deposit relationshipsPartner with retail and commercial lending teams to identify and pursue new business opportunitiesManage the full treasury management lifecycle, including sales, demos, implementation, onboarding, and ongoing supportMaintain strong client relationships by identifying needs and providing tailored treasury solutionsOversee customer agreements, documentation, and compliance with regulatory requirementsLead system setup, training, and transitions for new treasury management clientsMonitor portfolio growth through sales activity, reporting, and product expansionSupport and train internal staff on treasury management products and servicesCollaborate with operations, IT, and bookkeeping teams to ensure seamless service deliveryIdentify and address potential risks or compliance concerns, including ACH-related responsibilitiesQualifications:
3-5 years of experience in treasury management, business banking, or financial services preferredProven success in outside sales, business development, and deposit generationStrong relationship-building and networking skills with business and community leadersAbility to analyze financial statements and understand treasury management solutionsExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities, from prospecting to onboarding to client supportStrong understanding of banking technology and treasury productsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)High school diploma required; college degree preferredFarmers and Merchants Bank is growing in the South Dayton area. As the Bank Operations & Bookkeeping Specialist, you will support the day‐to‐day financial operations of the bank while delivering responsive internal and external service. You’ll ensure transactions are posted accurately and on time, research and resolve account issues, support digital banking channels, and help keep our back‐office engine running smoothly and compliantly.
Additionally, you will:
Assist with phone coverage and answer customers’ bookkeeping/account questions.Provide operations support to bank employees across branches and departments.Process wire transfers and support Customer Bill Pay, Online Banking, and Mobile App inquiries.Monitor and research unposted and suspense items, overdraft items, and mobile deposits.Handle debit card/Zelle fraud reviews and follow‐ups.Perform Kasasa end‐of‐cycle processing.Manage overdraft charge‐offs and associated reporting.Process and respond to garnishments, bank levies, subpoenas, and child support orders in accordance with policy.Manage IOLTA-related activities with precision and care.Perform accounts payable, general ledger posting and monitoring, and internal checking account reconciliations.Qualifications:
Working knowledge of bookkeeping and transaction processing.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.Strong attention to detail with the ability to complete tasks accurately and on time.Strong communication and organizational skills.A self‐starter mindset; able to work with minimal supervision, manage multiple priorities, and exercise sound judgment.A proactive, customer‐focused attitude and consistently professional demeanor.Effective time management and interpersonal skills.Farmers and Merchants Bank is growing in the South Dayton area.
