    Job Summary

    This position supports the growth of life insurance sales by leveraging data to make recommendations to agents that drive premium and profit objectives for an assigned territory. The role takes ownership of sales outcomes through proactive engagement and solution-driven approaches. The position develops and implements business plans to enhance agency productivity and profitability, deepen relationships, and promote life insurance products and the companys value proposition. The position collaborates with internal teams, field leadership, and agency stakeholders to address complex or high-value challenges, implement life insurance sales initiatives, and achieve sales objectives. This position is an individual contributor and performs work independently while receiving minimal guidance and direction.

    Essential Job Functions

    Drives life insurance sales by consulting with agency owners to meet sales objectives across multiple product lines and on high-value and complex cases. Takes ownership of sales outcomes by managing both assisted and unassisted sales activities. Focuses on point-of-sale interactions to drive successful transactions and meet sales targets. Promotes life insurance products and company value proposition. Achieves activity targets and production goals by proactively engaging with district managers and agency owners to identify needs or opportunities and deliver tailored solutions, and continuously monitor outcomes. Follows up on implemented strategies to assess effectiveness and pivots as needed when results do not meet expectations. Develops and implements customized sales plans for assigned agency to drive sales growth and meet sales objectives, including quarterly and annual sales targets. Aligns agency-specific sales plans with broader business objectives and leverages adjacent revenue stream opportunities to drive life sales. Demonstrates strong knowledge of life insurance products and services to effectively compete in the marketplace. Independently provides recommendations on product illustrations, case designs, and sales focus. Acts as a liaison between internal teams, field leadership, and agency stakeholders on complex underwriting, commissions, customer service, licensing, and other issues. Builds and maintains relationships with elite agents through targeted consultation, training, and education on products, services, marketing campaigns, technology, and advanced sales strategies. Supports agency growth by assisting with producer recruitment and development, optimizing performance and profitability, and delivering guidance virtually or in-person. Monitors agency performance through CRM systems and other tools. Tracks sales activities, analyzes data and identifies trends or patterns, and provides actionable insights to help agencies address performance gaps and improve sales results. Measures changes in agency performance resulting from the deployment of various tailored solutions. Mentors, trains, and coaches less experienced team members or lower level life sales consultants to develop their skills and improve performance. Provides ongoing support and feedback to support professional development and enhance team capabilities. Performs other duties as assigned.

    Education Requirements

    High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree preferred. Valid life insurance and FINRA 6, 63 licenses required. Other preferred designations include Financial Services Certified Professional (FSCP), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).

    Experience Requirements

    Minimum seven years of experience in sales, account management, or agency operations, preferably within the insurance industry. Experience required in direct point of sale, life insurance wholesale, and sales leadership.

    Physical Actions

    Job is performed in-person at a Farmers office or virtually at an approved alternative work location. Job may include work performed at field locations. The physical work environment is indoors and climate-controlled with adequate lighting and ventilation. Normal and customary distractions include background noise produced by office equipment and chatter among people, as well as interruptions. Field work performed outdoors may include exposure to weather elements. Frequently sits or stands for prolonged periods of time, up to a full shift. Occasionally moves about the workplace including navigating stairs, ramps, and level or uneven surfaces. Occasionally moves, pushes, pulls, lifts, carries, and places objects or materials weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Frequently uses shoulders, arms, hands, and fingers to manipulate equipment, tools, and objects necessary to perform job duties. Frequently performs fine motor tasks such as typing, mousing, or writing, up to a full shift. Occasionally performs movements such as bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, twisting, and reaching overhead or below the knees. Possesses clear vision, with or without correction, to visually read and verify information. Relies on depth perception and peripheral vision to navigate the work environment visually by identifying barriers, changes in terrain and locating objects. Possesses adequate hearing, with or without correction, to communicate with co-workers, respond promptly to auditory signals or alarms, and discern sounds essential for maintaining safety and productivity in the workplace. Jobs in this category may require regular travel between Farmers offices, alternative work locations, and/or field locations.

    Initial training may require in-office attendance, with the required days varying based on business need. Once training is complete, you'll transition to a hybrid work model, working in-office three days per week and virtual two days. While most teams are in-office Monday through Wednesday; your assigned shift may vary.

    Work Schedule: Our priority is to our customers, and we work non-traditional hours to match their needs. Candidates hired for this role must be available to work any shifts within the hours below; this may include evenings, Saturdays, and holidays. Shifts are assigned based on business needs.

    Training Hours 8:30am-5pm AZ time with sliding for daylight savingsMonday-Friday 7am-8pm AZ time with sliding for daylight savingsSat 7am -3:30pm AZ sliding with daylight savings
