Position Summary
The Medical Office Secretary provides administrative support to physicians, clinical staff, and management while ensuring efficient office operations. This position serves as a key communication hub for patients, providers, and outside healthcare organizations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Administrative Support
Maintain providers' schedulesPatient appointment coordinationAssist with special projects and administrative tasksOrganize and maintain office records and filesCommunication
Answer and direct incoming phone callsTake and relay accurate messagesRespond to patient messagesCoordinate communication between departmentsAssist with patient portal and email communicationsMedical Records and Documentation
Scan and index documents into the electronic medical recordProcess incoming faxes and correspondenceMaintain confidentiality of all patient informationManage Hospital Follow-up appointmentsScheduling and Coordination
Schedule patient appointments when neededCoordinate referrals, testing appointments, and consultationsAssist providers with schedule managementTrack outstanding paperwork and follow-up itemsQualifications
Required

Position Summary
The Medical Assistant supports providers and clinical staff by performing administrative and clinical duties to ensure efficient patient care, excellent customer service, and compliance with practice standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Patient Care
Room patients and obtain vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, height, weight, oxygen saturation)Document chief complaint and update patient historyReconcile medications and allergiesPrepare patients for examinations and proceduresAssist providers during examinations and minor proceduresAdminister injections, immunizations, and medications as delegated and permitted by state lawPerform EKGs, spirometry, hearing tests, vision screenings, and other diagnostic testingCollect specimens and prepare for laboratory processingClinical Documentation
Accurately document patient information in the EMRProcess provider ordersComplete referrals and authorizations as directedReview and manage patient messages and clinical tasksAssist with quality measures and value-based care initiativesPatient Communication
