PURPOSE OF POSITION
Coordinate all quality systems throughout the company to ensure that our products conform to company and customer quality standards and meet or exceed our customer's expectations.
Responsible for coordinating the development of the quality system continuous improvement activities.
Assures that the facility maintains ISO 9001/AS9100 certification.
Plan, coordinate and implement new products and modifications to current products, equipment and processes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Maintain an ISO/AS based quality system that ensures customer requirements are adhered to on a consistent basis.
Assist in developing plans for providing employees with the necessary training to perform assigned plant functions and facilitate their understanding of the quality system.
Correspond with customers and suppliers on all issues regarding quality.
Ensure management is kept current on issues that impact on the quality system.
Review new technologies for application in manufacturing processes and prepare analyses for capital expenditures.
Lead cost reduction efforts in manufacturing.
Maintain Manufacturing routing structures and update whenever necessary.
REGULAR DUTIES:
Assist in the resolution of customer complaints (internal and external) and issues by maintaining a corrective action system.
Participate in quality improvement activities and communicate quality systems information to all employees.
Assist manufacturing in daily shop floor functions as required by quality assurance procedures.
Administer the internal audit process.
Monitor gage calibration system.
Administer the document and data control process.
Assist manufacturing in new/improved manufacturing processes.
Structure all new product Quality Plans.
Assist in accountability of manufacturing tooling.
OCCASIONAL DUTIES I SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS:
Review and recommend changes to all elements of the Quality Manual.
Coordinate with company quality assurance personnel to promote understanding and to ensure compliance with stated requirements.
Serve as facility "point of contact" for matters pertaining to ISO/AS compliance.
Contact with customers and suppliers at their facilities.
Conduct supplier evaluations in coordination with appropriate personnel.
Provide responses to customer surveys in a timely manner.
Assist engineering, marketing, customer service departments with special projects such as cost estimating, product design ideas from a quality perspective.
DIMENSIONS:
Ongoing contact with department and facility managers regarding quality system issues.
Daily to weekly contact with shop floor employees regarding quality system issues.
Intermittent contact with customers relating to surveys or audits of the facility quality system.
Frequent vendor contact.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor of Science Degree in a technical or engineering discipline.
Training as an ISO 9000/AS9100 Lead or Internal Auditor.
Specialized or technical knowledge and skills:
Experience in procedure writing and implementation.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Good working knowledge/use of Office software.
Knowledge of the ISO/AS series standards.
General knowledge of machine tools and machining.
General knowledge of manufacturing processes.
Experience:
Five years - Supervisory position in a manufacturing environment
Three years - Management experience in a quality assurance discipline and varied manufacturing engineering functions.

Position Summary
The Filter Fabrication Technician/Welder is responsible for assembling, fabricating, and welding filtration products and components according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. This position requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to safely operate fabrication and welding equipment to produce high-quality products for the aerospace and industrial filtration industries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Fabricate, assemble, and weld filtration components and assemblies.Perform aluminum welding and other welding processes as required.Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work orders, and specifications.Operate fabrication equipment, hand tools, power tools, grinders, saws, and measuring devices.Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.Perform basic equipment maintenance and keep work areas clean and organized.Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.Work effectively as part of a team to meet production schedules and customer requirements.Assist with other manufacturing and assembly duties as assigned.Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred.Previous fabrication, assembly, or welding experience preferred.Experience welding aluminum preferred.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.Ability to use measuring instruments such as tape measures, calipers, and gauges.Basic math skills.Reliable attendance and punctuality required.Physical Requirements
