FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN – INSULATED METAL PANELS
Position Summary
The Field Technician provides on-site technical support for the installation, inspection, and performance of FALK’s insulated metal panel (IMP) systems. This role works directly with contractors, installers, and customers to ensure panels are installed correctly, meet project specifications, and perform as designed.
As a technical representative of FALK Panel, the Field Technician supports quality assurance, issue resolution, and customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle by serving as a knowledgeable field resource and problem solver.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provide on-site technical and installation support for insulated metal panels and related accessories.Inspect panel installations to ensure compliance with FALK installation guidelines, project specifications, and quality standards.Troubleshoot and diagnose field issues related to panel fit, alignment, sealing, fastening, and overall system performance.Perform minor field adjustments or corrective actions when required.Communicate technical recommendations, best practices, and corrective guidance to contractors, installers, and project stakeholders.Assist customers and installers with questions regarding panel handling, installation methods, and maintenance requirements.Document site visits, inspections, findings, and corrective actions in detailed field service reports.Coordinate with internal teams including Sales, Engineering, Quality, and Operations to resolve field-related issues.Follow all company safety policies and jobsite safety requirements.Represent FALK Panel professionally at all customer and project locations.Qualifications
Technical background in construction, building systems, or a related field.Experience with insulated metal panels, metal wall systems, roofing systems, or building envelope products preferred.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, installation manuals, and technical specifications.Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field-based role.Valid driver’s license with willingness to travel as required – 50% Travel.Work Environment & Physical Requirements

About the position:
The Steel Trims Operator will be responsible for effectively carrying out operational duties associated with the shearing of steel into flat stock sheets, then packaging them to go to trim shops, this role will be working in a small team and will also occasionally operate the press brake.
Key Responsibilities:
· Operate overhead crane to transport steel coils to saw
· Operate cutting and folding machinery/equipment in accordance with relevant SOP to ensure product quality and standards are maintained in a safe environment.
· Conduct regular checks to ensure products are of correct specification, quantity, and quality.
· Meet all reasonable output targets as specified by the Logistics Lead.
· Carry out basic maintenance duties and maintain a good standard of housekeeping.
· Strap and band finished flat stock to prepare for shipment.
· Validate and perform the quality check of incoming trims according to order.
· Operate forklift to move finished flat stock to correct areas.
· Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
· Load/unload trims and flat stock and validate related paperwork
Basic Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Attention to detail and accuracy
· Mechanically inclined
· Proper communication skills
· Experience for couple years with press brake equipment
· Experience operating forklift
· Able to monitor proper function of equipment
· Able to read a tape measure and use basic hand tools

Work Environment:
This is an operations position with physically active involvement with manufacturing processes and presence within the facility. The environment can become quite warm, working around machinery and ovens.

POSITION SUMMARY
The 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operation of the Insulated Metal Panel (IMP) line. This role operates on an off-shift with limited supervision and requires a self-motivated individual who can independently identify, prioritize, and execute maintenance work.
This is a hands-on role that supports both production equipment reliability and general facility maintenance, with a strong focus on uptime, safety, and proactive problem-solving.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting on IMP production line equipment Respond to equipment breakdowns and restore operations quickly and safely Diagnose root causes of failures and implement corrective actions Perform repairs, adjustments, and component replacements as needed Support continuous operation by minimizing downtime and recurring issues2. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
Execute scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) tasks on production equipment Identify opportunities to improve PM effectiveness and equipment reliability Document completed work and findings in CMMS or maintenance logs Proactively inspect equipment to identify wear, risks, or failure points3. Independent Work Execution (Off-Shift Ownership)
Work independently without direct supervision during 2nd shift operations Identify maintenance needs and create/complete work orders as needed Prioritize tasks based on production impact, safety, and equipment condition Maintain clear communication through shift notes and handoffs to leadership and 1st shift team Take initiative in maintaining equipment and facility standards4. Production Support
Partner with production team members to quickly resolve issues Communicate equipment status, risks, and repair timelines clearly Assist in line startups, changeovers, and operational adjustments as needed5. Facility Maintenance
Perform general facility maintenance including: Lighting, minor electrical work, and basic plumbing Building repairs and upkeep Support for HVAC and utility systems as needed Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and shop Coordinate minor repairs to ensure safe and efficient work environment6.
