ABOUT THE POSITION
The Rental and Used Equipment Coordinator is responsible for managing the daily operations and overall performance of the Rental Department, while also supporting inventory control and sales coordination within the Used Equipment Department This role includes overseeing a designated territory within the Industrial Division, with the expectation to collaborate and provide support across all Rental and Used Department teams. This includes supervising all cartage and delivery drivers, coordinating the rental and return of equipment, managing used inventory, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, sound financial judgment, and the ability to lead in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment. This is a full-time hourly position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the overall performance of the Rental and Used Department, including supervising all cartage and truck drivers.Use sound financial judgment to make decisions impacting departmental performance.Monitor and manage rental equipment inventory in collaboration with the Rental Manager.Remain current on all equipment models, features, and industry developments.Locate and source equipment to fulfill customer rental requests.Process rental orders and prepare, administer, and review all rental contracts.Schedule and coordinate deliveries with internal cartage teams.Approve and process all invoices related to rentals in a timely and accurate manner.Review and authorize service requests, machine movement orders, and purchase orders.Prepare reports on fleet utilization, rental revenue, and equipment status.Assist with intake, inspection, and assessment of used inventory.Maintain and update used equipment listings in internal systems and on external platforms.Track used equipment conditions, required repairs, and refurbishment processes.Support the sales team by preparing used units for resale and assisting with necessary documentation.Serve as the primary point of contact for rental inquiries, order scheduling, and issue resolution.Communicate with customers regarding rental agreements, status updates, extensions, returns, and concerns.Conduct regular site visits to current and prospective customer locations to promote and generate interest in used equipment offerings.Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell used inventory based on customer operations and fleet requirements.Obtain and review customer Certificates of Insurance (COIs) to ensure compliance with company requirements.Manage and track COIs in accordance with established company policies and procedures.Follow up with customers as needed to maintain up-to-date and valid documentation.Resolve customer complaints or escalate issues as appropriate.Ensure all documentation, including contracts, inspections, and delivery receipts, is properly completed and filed.Assist walk-in customers with rentals and inquiries.Build strong customer relationships by understanding their equipment needs and providing tailored solutions.Support internal departments (sales, service, logistics) to ensure equipment readiness and customer satisfaction.Demonstrate strong organizational and multitasking abilities to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.Accept and adapt to new duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Rental Manager.Contribute to a team-oriented work environment with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Pay: $26-28/ hr.Valid driver’s license.Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial for negotiating contracts, interviewing new vendors, developing new inventory processes and working with co-workers on stock inventory.Ability to manage and multi-task multiple projects at one time and in an efficient and timely manner.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Adapt and work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work under pressure, shift priorities in a changing environment, and self-direct with good business judgments.Ability to work overtime and have flexibility to accommodate the needs of the position.Travel to Fairchild Equipment locations, and customer site visits, as requested by Rental Manager; at least 25% annually.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

As our Technician, you will provide exceptional customer service to our customers by working on their material handling equipment at the customers location or within our branch shop. This position requires you to perform mechanical repairs ensuring that equipment is running to its full performance, providing our customer with effective and efficient performing equipment. Repair, diagnose, inspect, and maintain all material handling equipment for customer work orders assigned to you. Accepts repair orders as assigned by Service Writer. Communicate with customer(s) on diagnosed repairs suggested or required for repair and obtains customer approvals. Reads work orders, observes and listens to truck in operation to determine/diagnose malfunction or problem(s). Offers solutions to meet customer specifications. Timely submission of work orders.Provides estimates when appropriate. Repair, service, recondition or assemble equipment as approved by the customer/Service Manager. Obtains necessary parts working cooperatively with Parts department staff. Makes mechanical repairs to equipment after a complete inspection and analysis of breakdown has been completed. Records complete repair description on work order, including correct model and serial number of equipment and records hour meter reading. Obtains signature from customer and communicates with them on repair needs or work that was completed. Examines protective guards, loose bolts, specified safety devices on truck and makes adjustments. Lubricates moving parts and drives repaired truck to verify conformance to specifications. Always maintains professional image of self, cleanliness of van (externally and internally) and of assigned work area at customer site. Maintains and operates shop equipment and tools. Notifies Service Manager or Supervisor of safety issues and/or accidents immediately. Performs quality work as quickly and professional as possible. Promotes marketing efforts to drive parts, service, equipment and rental sales. ABOUT THE POSITION
We are seeking a skilled Painter to prepare, paint, and finish equipment using paint booth systems and spray equipment to ensure a high-quality, durable finish. This role involves thorough surface preparation, including sanding and cleaning, as well as the assembly and reassembly of equipment throughout the painting process. In addition to painting duties, the Painter will assist in general shop operations as a Shop Technician when requested, including supporting repairs, equipment handling, and other shop-related tasks. This position will also support inventory control activities by tracking materials and maintaining adequate supply levels for continuous operations. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and is committed to delivering consistent, high-quality results in a team-oriented environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Operate paint booth and paint gun to apply coatings to equipment and componentsPerform all prep work prior to painting, including cleaning, masking, and surface preparationSand and smooth surfaces to ensure proper paint adhesion and finish qualityExperience applying body filler in surface preparation, including mixing, application, shaping, and sanding to achieve smooth, paint-ready finishesAssemble and reassemble equipment after and after the painting processAssist with general shop repairs and maintenance as neededSupport shop operations as a Shop Technician when requested, including assisting with equipment setup, shop tasks, and material handlingTrack and manage inventory of paint, materials, and supplies; ensure adequate stock levels are maintained for ongoing workAssist with inventory control processes, including receiving, organizing, and stocking materials as neededMaintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and materials are properly handledFollow safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)Inspect finished work to ensure it meets company quality standardsPerform additional duties and responsibilities as requested by management to support overall operationsQUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

ABOUT THE POSITION
As our Sales Representative, you will work with existing customers and develop new business relationships within your assigned territory. You will be responsible for the sale of new and used forklifts and other material handling equipment, while maintaining and strengthening existing business and market share. This is a full-time, exempt outside sales position based out of our Moorhead, Minnesota branch.

As our Technician, you will provide exceptional customer service to our customers by working on their material handling equipment at the customers location or within our branch shop.
