    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Stationary Engineer / Boiler Operator to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our steam plant and critical utility systems. This role is essential to maintaining uninterrupted services across our healthcare and industrial facilities.

    Key Responsibilities

    Operate and maintain steam plant equipment, including gas-fired boilers, electric boilers, air compressors, generators, pumps, and motors.

    Monitor, record, and interpret system performance using meters, gauges, automated controls, and digital monitoring platforms.

    Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration systems.

    Conduct boiler water treatment testing and apply appropriate chemical additives to sustain efficiency and protect system integrity.

    Respond promptly to emergency service calls and document all activities in operator logs.

    Collaborate with cross-functional facilities teams to ensure reliability, meet project timelines, and support continuous operations.

    Follow and enforce OSHA and company safety protocolsincluding lockout/tagout (LOTO) and other critical safety procedures.

    Required Skills

    Strong troubleshooting skills across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration systems.

    Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.

    Demonstrated safe operation of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

    Working knowledge of medium- and high-voltage electrical systems and critical building infrastructure.

    Competent in Microsoft Office for communication, documentation, and training access.

    Qualifications

    High School Diploma or GED required.

    Minimum 3 years of experience in a healthcare environment or highly regulated industrial setting.

    Knowledge of industrial HVAC systems, boilers (up to 5 MMBTU/hr), chillers, hydronic systems, and plant operations.

    One or more of the following is required:

    A.S. in Mechanical Electrical Technology (MET)

    MECH Certification

    Accredited Operating Engineer Apprenticeship

    Military Journeyman-Level Certification

    Valid Engineer's License / High-Pressure Boiler Operator Qualification

    Universal EPA 608 Refrigeration Certification

    Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.

    Preferred Certifications

    Building Automation Systems (BAS) Training/Certification

    Building Operator Certification (BOC)

    NFPA 70 and 70E

    Familiarity with NFPA, NEC, TJC, OSHA, and related regulatory codes.

    Physical Requirements

    Ability to lift 10 lbs routinely and up to 50 lbs as needed.

    Frequent reaching, handling, and communication activities.

    Occasional standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, and crawling.

    What You'll Do

    Install, service, and repair a wide range of HVAC systemsincluding electric, electronic, pneumatic, and direct digital controlsin office and commercial environments.

    Use your understanding of refrigeration theory, pipefitting, and mechanical design to ensure high-quality installations.

    Mount compressors, condensers, and system components using blueprints and engineering specifications.

    Fabricate and install ductwork and structural components using cutting-edge metalworking tools and welding equipment.

    Install evaporator units, medical refrigeration systems, air-duct components, and other cooling/heating units.

    Cut, bend, and join tubing and piping; solder, braze, and assemble refrigerant circuits safely and accurately.

    Connect and test motors, compressors, temperature/humidity controls, fans, and electrical panels.

    Conduct nitrogen pressure tests, verify leak-free systems, and prepare units for refrigerant charging.

    Evaluate performance using pressure/vacuum gauges and make adjustments for optimized operation.

    Install insulation, replace defective electrical components, and troubleshoot system issues.

    Service air conditioners, package units, and commercial chillers up to 400 tons.

    Deliver excellent customer service while performing warranty, repair, and preventive maintenance tasks.

    Able to obtain NACI clearance as required

    All licenses/certifications required by state, federal, or contract regulations

    Physical Requirements

    This is a hands-on, active role. You should be comfortable with:

    Frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting

    Carrying up to 50 lbs., and occasionally more

    Standing or walking for extended periods

    Using hand and power tools for repetitive motions

    Traveling to different sites using a company vehicle

    Job Summary

    FSI is seeking an experienced and licensed Plumber to support our contract operations. This role requires a strong, well-rounded plumbing skill set and the ability to install, maintain, and repair a wide range of systems in accordance with specifications and plumbing codes. You'll play a critical role in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient facility operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    Cut openings in walls, floors, and ceilings to accommodate pipes and fittings using hand and power tools.

    Cut, thread, and bend pipe to required specifications using pipe cutters, torch equipment, pipe-threading machines, and pipe-bending tools.

    Assemble and install various types of pipe, valves, and fittings made of metal (iron, steel, brass, lead) and non-metal materials (plastic, vitrified clay, glass).

    Join piping systems using bolts, screws, fittings, solder, plastic solvent, and approved sealants.

    Fill and pressurize pipe systems with air or water; read gauges to detect leaks and ensure proper operation.

    Install, repair, and replace plumbing fixtures including sinks, toilets, tubs, water heaters, hot water tanks, dishwashers, softeners, and disposal units.

    Repair plumbing issues by replacing washers, clearing clogged drains, repairing burst pipes, and assessing pipe condition.

    Perform basic welding as needed to secure fixtures to structural supports.

    Ensure safe and proper use of all hand and power tools required in the plumbing trade.

    Follow all safety procedures and comply with company policies and jobsite requirements.

    Work independently and collaboratively while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.

    Demonstrate willingness to learn and support team success.

    Education & Experience Requirements

    High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    13 years of experience as a journeyman plumber.

    Valid Plumbing Journeyman's License required.

    Experience in commercial or medical-research facility environments preferred.

    Must meet all state and federal licensing requirements, as required by contract.

    Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.

    Ability to obtain a NACI (National Agency Check with Inquiries) security clearance.
