Fabuwood is seeking a skilled CAD Production Drafter / Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating accurate technical drawings, 3D models, detailed part breakdowns, and machine-ready files for manufacturing. You will serve as the critical link between design and production, collaborating closely with project managers, CNC operators, and cabinet makers to transform custom designs into high-quality, production-ready products.
Key ResponsibilitiesCAD Drafting & EngineeringPrepare detailed shop drawings, engineering documents, and part lists based on architectural plans, field measurements, and conceptual sketches.
Create and maintain machine-ready files for CNC production, including DXF files, nested panel layouts, and toolpath-ready outputs.
Translate custom cabinetry and millwork designs into accurate, buildable production components.
Ensure drawings are complete, accurate, and meet manufacturing standards.
Production SupportCollaborate with Project Managers, Production Leads, CNC Operators, and Cabinet Makers to verify design accuracy and manufacturability.
Review drawings and specifications to identify and resolve design or production issues before fabrication.
Specify hardware and accessories using industry-standard systems.
Maintain drawing libraries, part databases, and assist in standardizing construction methods.
Participate in design reviews and support technical problem-solving throughout the production process.
QualificationsRequired2–5 years of experience in CAD drafting, millwork engineering, production design, or a related field.
Proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD software (AutoCAD or similar).
Ability to produce accurate, buildable shop drawings from architectural plans and conceptual designs.
Strong understanding of cabinet construction methods, custom woodworking techniques, and joinery.
Familiarity with CNC manufacturing processes and panel nesting.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
PreferredExperience preparing CNC programs or working with CAM/Nesting software.
Familiarity with reviewing architectural drawings, markups, and redlines.
Experience with high-end residential or commercial custom cabinetry projects.
Hands-on experience in cabinet fabrication or installation.
Knowledge of hardware specification and installation, including BLUM, Häfele, or similar systems.
Bilingual (English and Spanish).

You will serve as the primary point of coordination for tracking order ETAs, identifying and resolving production bottlenecks, and maintaining clear communication between departments to ensure on-time completion.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction CoordinationMonitor and follow up on order ETAs to ensure production schedules are met.
Maintain visibility on order status and proactively communicate updates to relevant teams.
Coordinate with departments to confirm the timely availability of materials and components.
Communicate across departments to ensure smooth transitions and handoffs of completed work.
Workflow ManagementIdentify and troubleshoot production delays, quality concerns, or other disruptions affecting workflow.
Escalate recurring or critical issues to supervisors and recommend process improvements.
Support the production team by helping maintain efficient workflow throughout the Custom Shop.
QualificationsRequiredBilingual in English and Spanish.
1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with production tracking systems, spreadsheets, or ERP software.
Ability to read and interpret work orders, production schedules, and other manufacturing documents.

Fabuwood is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and hands-on UV Paint Line Machine Operator to oversee the operation, maintenance, and performance of our UV coating production line. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient and continuous operation of UV finishing equipment while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial paint or finishing operations and possess strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction OperationsOperate, monitor, and maintain UV paint line equipment to ensure continuous and efficient production.
Set up and adjust machine settings to meet production specifications and quality requirements.
Monitor line performance, production output, and product quality throughout the shift.
Ensure materials, coatings, and supplies are properly loaded and available to support uninterrupted production.
Verify finished products meet company quality standards and specifications.
Equipment Maintenance & TroubleshootingPerform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and cleaning of UV paint line equipment.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve minor mechanical, electrical, or operational issues to minimize downtime.
Communicate equipment malfunctions and major repair needs to Maintenance and Production leadership.
Maintain accurate maintenance and production records as required.
Quality & Continuous ImprovementConduct regular quality checks and inspections throughout the production process.
Identify defects, inconsistencies, or process deviations and take corrective action when appropriate.
Assist in process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency, reducing waste, and improving product quality.
Support continuous improvement efforts and recommend operational enhancements.
Safety & HousekeepingFollow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area around the UV paint line and surrounding equipment.
Report safety concerns, hazards, and incidents promptly.
Participate in safety meetings, training programs, and operational audits as required.
QualificationsRequiredPrevious experience working in a paint production, coating, finishing, manufacturing, or industrial production environment.
Experience operating industrial machinery and production equipment.
Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform minor equipment repairs.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity standards.
Ability to read and follow work instructions, production schedules, and safety procedures.
PreferredExperience operating UV paint line equipment or automated coating/finishing systems.
Knowledge of UV coating applications, curing processes, and finishing operations.
Experience working in cabinet manufacturing, furniture manufacturing, woodworking, or related industries.
Forklift certification or willingness to become certified.
Physical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and industrial materials.
