    F6 is a rapidly growing HVAC and Refrigeration Equipment Manufacturing company supporting hyperscale data center infrastructure across the United States. With over 100 employees and continued exponential growth, our teams specialize in the startup, commissioning support, and troubleshooting of mission-critical cooling systems designed by leading equipment manufacturers.

    At F6 we are looking for experienced HVAC technicians who enjoy solving problems.

    If you are the technician other people call when no one can figure out why a system isn't working, this role will be a great fit.

    Our team works on complex cooling systems supporting some of the largest hyperscale data centers in the world, and we rely on technicians who can think critically, troubleshoot efficiently, and take pride in bringing systems online.

    This position combines advanced hands-on troubleshooting with field leadership, guiding teams of technicians through equipment startup and commissioning activities.

    Compensation & Travel

    Pay: $49 – $60 per hour
    Overtime: Available

    What You'll Do

    This is a hands-on technical role focused on troubleshooting, system startup, and bringing complex cooling systems online in mission-critical environments.

    Equipment Startup & Commissioning Support

    Lead and perform startup activities for data center cooling systems while supporting project commissioning efforts.

    Systems may include:

    In-Row Heat Exchangers (IRHX)Computer Room Air Handlers (CRAH)Computer Room Air Conditioners (CRAC)Data Center Air Handling Units (DAHU)

    Responsibilities include:

    Executing pre-functional and functional commissioning testsVerifying systems operate according to OEM specificationsSupporting commissioning agents during system testingIdentifying installation deficiencies and operational issues

    Advanced Troubleshooting

    Diagnose and resolve issues involving:

    Hydronic cooling systemsChilled water systemsGlycol cooling loopsAir handling equipmentPumps, valves, and piping systemsSensors and instrumentation

    Electrical troubleshooting includes:

    24V control circuits120V and 480V systemsVFD troubleshootingReading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams

    Technicians in this role are frequently responsible for identifying root causes when systems do not perform as expected.

    Field Leadership

    Lead teams of 4–10 technicians during equipment startup and commissioning phases.

    Responsibilities include:

    Conducting daily morning kickoff meetingsReviewing safety topics and daily work plansAssigning technician responsibilitiesTracking technician attendanceProviding technical mentorship and troubleshooting guidance

    Successful candidates lead by example and help maintain high technical and safety standards on site.

    Project Coordination

    Serve as the field liaison between:

    Provide daily updates regarding:

    Pay: $34 – $38 per hour

    Travel may be required depending on project assignment.

    What You'll Do

    Startup Technicians assist with the startup, testing, and inspection of mission-critical cooling systems used in hyperscale data centers.

    This is a hands-on technical role where technicians gain real-world experience working with large mechanical and electrical systems while developing troubleshooting skills.

    Equipment Startup Support

    Assist with startup activities for systems including:

    Computer Room Air Handlers (CRAH)Computer Room Air Conditioners (CRAC)In-Row Heat Exchangers (IRHX)Data Center Air Handling Units (DAHU)

    Responsibilities include:

    Verifying piping connections and mechanical installationsSupporting commissioning test proceduresMonitoring system pressures and temperatures during startupAssisting with equipment inspections and performance verificationDocumenting equipment readings and system performance

    Mechanical System Responsibilities

    Technicians in this role will work with:

    Hydronic cooling systemsChilled water systemsGlycol cooling loopsPumps and valvesAir handling equipment

    Startup Technicians assist with identifying mechanical issues and supporting troubleshooting efforts during system startup.

    Electrical & Controls Responsibilities

    Assist technicians with:

    Verifying control wiringChecking sensors and instrumentationMonitoring system operation during startupObserving electrical troubleshooting procedures

    Technicians will gain experience working with:

    24V control circuitsElectrical schematicsVFD operationBuilding automation systems

    Field Operations Support

    Startup Technicians support project teams by:

    Participating in daily safety meetingsAssisting senior technicians with startup activitiesMaintaining organized documentation and equipment recordsSupporting safe and efficient project execution

    Required Qualifications

    1–3 years' experience working with HVAC, mechanical systems, or electrical systemsBasic mechanical troubleshooting experienceAbility to read mechanical drawings or piping diagrams preferredBasic electrical knowledge including control circuits preferredValid driver's license requiredReliable transportation required for local travel when applicable
