    Job Responsibilities and Expectations

    Fully responsible and work onsite at substation projects from start to finish on the projectEffectively interface and own the relationship with customers and their vendorsRead and interpret control prints, wiring diagrams, and relaying schematicsEnsures the performance of all field testing on substation equipment is completed accurately and safelyDevelop isolation plans and safely perform the isolation of all protection and control equipmentCommunicate with proper teams to schedule necessary support to perform:Testing and commissioning of all relays and communication equipmentAcceptance testing of new circuit breakers, transformers, CTs, PTs, CVTs, disconnects, etcOversee the point to point checksPerform function testsDevelop Energization PlansWork with utility’s supervision to determine and mitigate reduced or inadequate protection situationsPlan and schedule in advance SCADA checkouts through the project management

    Minimum Qualifications to qualify for consideration. You must meet each of the following minimum qualifications and requirements

    A Bachelor or Associate of Science degree in Electro-Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited school or UniversityMust have at least 7 years of utility Transmission Protection & Control experience, including brownfield sites where panel and equipment checkout, relay calibration, and testing and repairing substation relaying and control schemes has been primary dutiesMust have proven experience working on 69kV equipment and higherMust be fully knowledgeable on zones of protectionMust be able to demonstrate SAFE electrical troubleshooting skills using basic and advanced test equipmentMust be a confident, strong troubleshooter, and an effective communicatorMust be willing and able to travel and work at substation sites from 3 weeks to several months at a time

    Preferred Qualifications

    BSEE or BSETWave trap and line tuner adjusting experience desirablePrior experience with RTS or Protection Suite

    Position Overview

    We are seeking an experienced Project Foreman to lead and oversee daily operations on commercial construction job sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising field crews, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.


    This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong construction knowledge, excellent communication skills, and experience with drywall, steel stud framing, and heavy equipment operation.


    Key Responsibilities

    Supervise and lead field crews to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within quality standards.Coordinate daily activities with subcontractors, vendors, and project management.Monitor project schedules and ensure work progresses according to plan.Oversee steel stud framing, drywall installation, and other construction activities.Operate and supervise the use of heavy equipment as needed.Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.Manage job site materials, equipment, and inventory.Conduct daily site inspections to maintain quality control and safety.Troubleshoot field issues and implement effective solutions.Maintain tools and equipment to ensure proper operation.Communicate project updates, progress, and challenges to management.Foster a productive and collaborative work environment.


    Required Qualifications

    Proven experience as a Foreman, Lead Carpenter, Superintendent, or similar construction leadership role.Strong supervisory and team leadership skills.Experience operating heavy equipment.Proficiency in steel stud framing and drywall installation.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Basic equipment and tool maintenance knowledge.Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and best practices.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project specifications.Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and outdoors in varying weather conditions.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.


    Preferred Qualifications

    Previous experience in commercial drywall or interior construction projects.Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and construction crews.OSHA certification is a plus.Ability to travel to project sites if required.
