  Eyes of the Marina is a boutique, coastal optometry practice located in the heart of Marina del Rey. We are known for combining advanced medical care with a curated, high-end optical experience.
  
  Our patients value personalized attention, specialty contact lenses, and advanced dry eye care. Our office features OCT, OPTOS, Meibography, topography, IPL, and Radiofrequency technology.
  
  We are seeking a personable, clinically skilled Optometrist who enjoys relationship-based care in a beautifully designed, modern setting.
  
  What You’ll Be Doing
  
  Provide comprehensive exams with a patient-centered approach
  
  Diagnose and manage dry eye and ocular surface disease
  
  Perform IPL and RF treatments (training available)
  
  Fit scleral, specialty, and premium contact lenses
  
  Educate patients on treatment plans and lifestyle vision solutions
  
  Collaborate with a close-knit, service-focused team
  
  What We’re Looking For
  
  Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree
  
  Active California license
  
  Strong communication and chairside manner
  
  Interest in specialty lenses and dry eye management

  Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and confident in guiding patients through frame and lens selections while ensuring accuracy in prescription eyewear orders.
  
  This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with patients and contributing to a high-end boutique optical environment.
  
  Candidates with experience in lens edging and finishing are a plus, but not required.
  
  ResponsibilitiesAssist patients in selecting frames and lenses that suit their prescription, lifestyle, and aesthetic preferences
  
  Educate patients on lens technology including progressives, coatings, specialty lenses, and premium options
  
  Take precise optical measurements (PD, OC height, segment height, etc.)
  
  Process eyewear orders and verify prescription accuracy
  
  Dispense, adjust, and repair frames
  
  Coordinate with optical labs and vendors
  
  Maintain an organized and visually appealing optical display
  
  Provide an exceptional patient experience from frame selection to final dispensing
  
  Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience as an Optician or Optical Sales Associate
  
  Strong knowledge of lens designs, materials, and frame fitting
  
  Experience with lens edging or finishing is a plus but not required
  
  Excellent communication and patient service skills
  
  Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  
  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  
  Familiarity with EMR or optical management software
  
  ABO certification is a plus

  Eyes of the Marina Optometry is seeking a skilled, dependable Optical Lab Technician with Optician experience to join our growing, high-end practice. This is a dual-role position for someone who is technically strong in the lab and confident assisting patients on the optical floor.

  Key Responsibilities
  
  
  Optical Lab Duties
  
  
  Edge, mount, and finish prescription lenses accurately and efficiently
  
  Read and interpret optical prescriptions and lab work orders
  
  Perform quality control checks (power, axis, cosmetics, fit)
  
  Troubleshoot lab issues and perform remakes when necessary
  
  Maintain lab equipment, tools, and a clean workspace
  
  Manage lab inventory and supplies
  
  Optician & Front-of-House Support
  
  
  Assist patients with frame selection, lens options, and styling
  
  Take accurate measurements (PD, seg height, OC, etc.)
  
  Educate patients on lens materials, coatings, and upgrades
  
  Adjust, fit, and repair eyewear
  
  Support optical sales while maintaining patient-first care
  
  Help with general optometry office tasks as needed (patient flow, organization, support during busy hours)
  
  Qualifications
  
  
  Minimum 2-5 years of optical lab experience preferred
  
  Optician experience required
  
  Comfortable working both in the lab and on the sales floor
  
  Strong understanding of lens types, materials, and coatings
  
  Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  
  Friendly, professional demeanor with patients
