    Storage Express is the biggest (and best!) self-storage company headquartered in Indiana. Our company owns and manages over 100 self-storage locations in communities across Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, and Ohio. We're looking for someone to help us keep our work property in tip-top shape, and to track our inventory of thousands of storage spaces. You'd start your day from our Fort Wayne, IN property in a company provided Ford F150 truck. Will work between multiple stores in the district.This location is closed on Sundays.Accurate Pay Range $17.00.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Daily inventory checks of our bar-coded storage spaces using a handheld scanner and a company provided Android phone Routine maintenance, repairs, and cleaning of our storage units Troubleshooting gates and I.T. equipment Repairs to our roll-up doors, latches, and tracks General upkeep (weed spraying, shrub trimming, and leaf removal) Conduct daily physical storage unit inspections, confirm inventory availability and ensure spaces are secure and/or ready to rent.

    Qualifications:

    Must have maintenance experience ( we will provide training on our storage-specific troubleshooting and repairs.) Detail-oriented. Basic mechanical and technology skills using smart phones, apps and other software. Possess and maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to meet physical demands of the job (heavy lifting up to 70 lbs. regularly, bending, pushing, pulling, kneeling, etc.)

    Your Responsibilities

    Build and maintain strong customer relationships by identifying storage needs and providing tailored solutions.

    Maximize sales objectives through unit rentals, unit insurance, and moving supplies.

    Ensure our highest standards of cleanliness are met through continuous maintenance (e.g., sweeping, mopping, grounds maintenance, etc.) of the site, including the office, and the interior and exteriors of the storage building and surrounding areas.

    Perform daily site safety inspections, including lock checks.

    Address and resolve customer concerns related to billing, security, auctions, and proper site usage

    Handle cash transactions, balance receipts, follow up on delinquent payments, process customer payments, and complete daily bank deposits.

    Oversee routine administrative tasks, including maintaining auction files, following up on delinquent accounts, monitoring store budgets, and prepare and deliver bank deposits. .

    Protect our strong company culture by establishing and maintaining professional relationships with all Extra Space employees.

    Perform additional duties as assigned.


    Your Qualifications

    2+ years of customer-facing work experience.

    Leadership experience preferred but not required.

    Sale experience preferred.

    Current valid driver's license and access to a reliable personal vehicle; except in New York City and Brooklyn.

    High School diploma or GED is required; college education is a plus.

    Work Environment & Physical Requirements

    Perform indoor and outdoor job responsibilities ranging from sedentary desk work to physical job duties with varying physical demands and exposure to seasonal weather conditions.

    Regular tasks include standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, sitting, and lifting.

    Regularly required to lift or move items up to 35 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.

    Responsibilities:
