Job Summary:
This is a full-time on-site role for a Lead Physician Associate for this Level 2 Trauma Center at Overland Park Medical Center in Overland Park, KS. As a Lead Physician Associate, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to trauma patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals. You will also be involved in preceptorship and mentoring of junior healthcare providers.
Qualifications
Strong clinical and diagnostic skills in trauma care
Experience in providing acute care to trauma patients
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work well in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
Current certification as a Physician Associate
Valid state medical license
Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center is preferred
Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification is a plus

Level II ACS & State Verified
Trauma service covers 100% acute care surgery
Approx. 1000 trauma admissions per year (not including ACS)
ED volume approx. 45k/yr
APP Criteria:
Experience in Trauma & ICU Required
ATLS required
1st assist experience preferred
Willingness to work some night shifts
