Job Summary
Diagnoses, treats, and helps prevent children's diseases and injuries in an outpatient primary care setting.
General Accountabilities
Reviews patient file/record, including allergies, problems, medications, well-child visits, and immunization status.Elicits and records information about patient's medical, developmental, social, and family history.Examines patient to determine general physical condition or presence of disease or injury.Orders or executes various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient's condition.Administers or prescribes treatments as needed.Determines and prescribes medication, dosage, and schedule given the patient's condition and allergies.Prescribes and administers vaccinations to immunize patient from communicable diseases.Discusses any possible side affects to medication or immunization with parent or patient.Electronic Health Record Charting*The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
Job Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree and M.D.Experience: 5-7 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
