CNC MACHINIST-2nd Shift - 4x10's -Mon-Thurs 2:5pm-12:45am
$25-32/HR Based on Experience
A local company in Mesa, AZ is looking for a 2nd Shift CNC Machinist. This is a full-time, eval-hire position, offering the opportunity to become a valued member of a national company, offering excellent benefits, pay, and career advancement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sets up and operates conventional, special purpose, and machining centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic partsStudies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirementsMeasures, marks, and scribe's dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent machining.Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, grinders, and polishers.Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, and depth and angle of cut.Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as requiredVerifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications.Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings.Verifies dimensions and alignment of assembly.Performs minor equipment preventative maintenance.Updates and tracks measurement data as per control plansOther duties may be assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
One year certificate from college or technical school preferredMinimum of 2 years of experience with Mills, CNC, and LathesAbility to read blueprintsAbility to work with tight tolerancesReliableAbility to pass background
