    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Shipping & Receiving / Parts Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the movement of materials and parts throughout the facility while ensuring accurate packaging, shipping, and receiving processes. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to safely operate a sit-down forklift in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments of parts and materials.
    • Package, label, and prepare parts for shipment according to customer and company specifications.
    • Verify incoming shipments for accuracy and inspect materials for damage.
    • Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
    • Load and unload trucks using a sit-down forklift and other material handling equipment.
    • Organize and stage materials for shipment and production needs.
    • Work closely with warehouse, production, and customer service teams to ensure timely deliveries.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
    • Follow all company safety policies and shipping procedures.
    • Assist with inventory counts and material tracking as needed.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

    • Experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or logistics.
    • Ability to safely operate a sit-down forklift.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in packaging and documentation.
    • Basic computer skills for tracking shipments and inventory.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet shipping deadlines.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Previous shipping and receiving, warehouse, logistics, or parts coordination experience preferred.
    • Prior sit-down forklift experience required; certification preferred.
    • Experience with inventory management systems and shipping documentation is a plus.

    • Applicant must have experience with the set-up and operation of drill presses. Must be able to read blue prints and do various set-ups with minimal supervision. Accuracy with measuring tools and layout is a must.

    • Machine operator for 'Drill press' department - Position performs a variety of functions within our fabrication department. Drill, 'Layout' for the machine shop, and ability to operate other machines.

    • Must be able to operate various types of saws, including horizontal band saw, vertical band saw. Knowledge of small milling machine operation is a plus, and willingness to help out wherever needed

    • Will be responsible for deburring all sawed parts. Should have experience with various material handling cranes and/or lifts.

    • Additional experience (or ability) with forklift operation,

    • Position requires frequent use of hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms. Employee frequently is required to stand, walk, climb or balance.

    • Hours of Operation:

    o Shop starts @ 6 AM

    o 10 min break @ 8:00 AM (Paid)

    o 10 min break @ 10:00 AM (Paid)

    o 30 min for lunch 12 Noon to 12:30

    o Quitting time is 2:30 PM unless overtime is required
