In this position you will -
Maintain responsibility for accurate receiving, loading, storing and executing shipment orders. Must be able to work the shift pattern as required by the branch. Execute updates in computer system via operational tools provided.
Inbound Freight: Count all products, take weight, compare to manifest and check all shipments for damage, shortage, overage and any other discrepancies. Report shortages, damages and/or discrepancies on appropriate forms. If assigned, must be a qualified forklift driver, unloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to assigned storage locations.
Storage: Maximize space usage. Properly and safely put away items onto the racks, locations and or ready rows using company system and scripts.
Cargo handling: Ensure that the correct number and type of product are being handled. Transport orders to shipping locations or assigned doors with material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jacket). Review markings, address on cargo and ensure correct reference labels are on the cargo.
Outbound Freight: Compare quantity, labeling and address with order to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and correct. Sign necessary documents to ensure record keeping along with the usage of system scripts. Efficiently move product into outbound delivery vehicles.
Facility/Equipment: Maintain equipment and ensure warehouse areas are neat, clean of debris and in an orderly fashion. Operate equipment safely and efficiently. Comply with all local, OSHA and Expeditors’ standards.
Inventory: Keep accurate records and reports. Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts. May key inventory adjustments into company system.
Other Duties: Repack or re-box cases per customer instructions. Repair and re-box damaged goods as required. Operate shrink-wrap machine, manual shrink-wrap, apply plastic and metal bands if assigned.

Job Description
The Distribution Operations Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient daily operations of all distribution accounts. This role combines warehouse responsibilities with customer service support. Shift M-F 1pm to 10pm.
Responsibilities:
1. Warehouse Operations:
- Repack or re-box cases per customer instructions. Operate shrink-wrap machine if required.
- Receive, count, and inspect inbound shipments accurately.
- Safely unload shipments and move products to appropriate storage locations, utilizing forklift if qualified.
- Maximize space usage in storage areas and ensure proper stock rotation.
- Pick orders accurately and transport them to shipping locations using material handling equipment.
- Verify outbound shipments for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain equipment and assigned areas in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
- Keep accurate inventory records, assist in physical inventories, and cycle counts.
- Repack or re-box cases per customer instructions. Operate shrink-wrap machine if required.
- Must be able to lead, train and coordinate warehouse contract labor to execute all functions according to Expeditors operational excellence expectations
2. Customer Service Support:
- Process and input customer orders and distribution accounts accurately.
- Generate necessary paperwork and information for work orders.
- Run stock reports to check product availability.
- Provide accurate and timely daily operational reports.
- Conduct invoicing and handle billings with associated documentation.
- Coordinate special shipping requests with relevant departments.
- Trace orders and notify customers of any updates.
- Maintain excellent working relationships with customers, promptly responding to inquiries and resolving complaints.
- Handle returned merchandise efficiently and ensure proper credit is given to the customer.
- Assist with clerical tasks, filing, and research.
- Support DST Supervisor in keeping and updating SOPs, process checklists and training guides
Qualifications
- Education: High school degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 6 months or more in a warehouse-related role and minimum 2 years in a customer service support role, preferably with inventory control and/or distribution operations experience.
- Knowledge/Skills: Basic math, reading, and writing abilities. Proficiency in software applications such as MS Word and MS Excel. Good communication skills. Typing speed of 30 wpm and 10-key proficiency. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Special Requirements: Excellent work habits. Background check may be required based on location.
