We are seeking a professional, organized, and patient-focused Treatment Coordinator to work with our general dentist. The Treatment Coordinator serves as a key liaison between the doctor, clinical team, and patients by helping patients understand recommended treatment, financial arrangements, scheduling, and overall care coordination. This individual plays an important role in case acceptance, patient experience, and maintaining an efficient daily schedule.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Present and explain treatment plans in a clear, confident, and compassionate mannerReview insurance benefits, estimates, financing options, and payment arrangements with patientsCoordinate scheduling for restorative, implant, cosmetic, hygiene, and specialty proceduresMonitor and follow up on unscheduled treatment plans to improve case acceptanceVerify insurance benefits and obtain pre-authorizations as neededMaintain accurate patient records and treatment notes within practice management softwareCommunicate effectively with doctors, hygienists, assistants, and administrative team membersAssist in managing daily schedule productivity and minimizing cancellations or gapsProvide excellent customer service and create a positive patient experienceHandle patient concerns professionally and escalate issues appropriately when neededSupport office goals related to collections, production, and patient retention
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of dental front office or treatment coordinating experience preferredKnowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processesExperience with Open Dental software preferredStrong communication, organizational, and multitasking skillsProfessional appearance and positive attitudeAbility to discuss financial arrangements confidently and professionallyStrong attention to detail and follow-throughExperience with implants, full-arch, or cosmetic dentistry is a plusHigh level of emotional intelligence and patient relationship skillsAbility to build trust and increase treatment acceptanceComfortable working in a fast-paced environmentStrong phone and scheduling skillsUnderstanding of production goals and schedule optimizationCompensation & Benefits
