Everlane is building a first-class design team, and we are currently looking to fill a Director who will focus on Women's and Men's Apparel. You must be passionate, enthusiastic, with an obsessive eye for detail along with an entrepreneurial spirit. Reporting into the SVP of Design & Brand Creative, you will lead a team to create commercially successful, relevant and timeless apparel products. From product ideation to final pre-production prototypes, you will be responsible for the design sketches to the executions of your categories. You must also demonstrate leadership, use creative & analytical skills to set a short-term and long-term strategy for your function and your people with clear goals. To this end, you will work closely with your cross functional partners in Merchandising, Technical Design, Raw Materials, Sourcing, Production and your peers in Women's and Men's design. Your day-to-day: * Brainstorm new product concepts with SVP of Design at Seasonal Product Ideation, with Merchandising partners and cross- functional thought partners at Product Milestone. * Initiate product and fabric development to satisfy long term business needs within our Sustainability pipeline * Travel internationally and domestically for vendor direction, inspiration and fabric shows * Strategically develop and grow the Women's & Men's business in line with company targets defined by our long-range plan * Design and develop core knits, sweaters, wovens, and accessories on a quarterly basis with strategic mindset for platformed fabrications * Prepare and present quarterly sketch reviews, check-ins with SVP of Design along with pipeline milestone overlaps of seasons * Guide team to achieve an elevated fit direction (includes Italian workmanship) * Mentor and lead direct reports * In collaboration with Merchandising, TD & PD, manage calendar, budget and team activities from weekly touch bases to milestone engagement. We'd love to hear from you if you have: * You have 10+ years experience designing Sweaters, Knits and Woven Apparel with Italian tailoring knowledge & ability to do simple draping. * You have 4+ years experience managing and mentoring teams * You have 4+ years experience with private label accessories (footwear, handbags, soft items & collaborations) * Proven track record of building and developing knit and sweater and woven businesses and have worked at scale * Deep technical knowledge of knitted fabric, sweaters yarns and woven fabrics & Italian tailoring /vendors * High competency with fittings (concise, directive communication to lead a cross-functional fitting) * Strong P.O.V on relevant trend * Experience with co-creation, testing off-shore and near-shore process. These roles partner with many teams, such as Merchandising, Product, Engineering, Data, Creative and Marketing to create a site that best represents the Everlane brand and positioning, showcasing our beautifully designed and sustainable products, allowing customers to shop with confidence and wanting to share the world of Everlane. As a Site Merchandising Specialist at Everlane, you will play a key role in managing and optimizing Product Detail Pages (PDPs), Collection Pages, and overall site merchandising to enhance the customer shopping experience. What You'll Do * Product Detail Page (PDP) Execution: * Build, update, and optimize PDPs with accurate product descriptions, compelling imagery, and key product benefits. * Ensure product pages reflect Everlane's brand voice and commitment to transparency. * Manage end-to-end image uploading and QA processes to ensure all site assets accurately reflect current assortments and meet brand quality standards. * Collection & Landing Page Management: * Create, maintain, and update collection pages to align with product launches, seasonal changes, and marketing initiatives. * Optimize page layouts and sorting to enhance discoverability and conversion. * Site Merchandising & Optimization: * Oversee product categorization, sorting, and navigation to ensure a seamless shopping experience. * Generate and provide optimized URLs for PDPs and Collection pages to the Retention team, performing final QA on all email campaigns to verify product accuracy and real-time inventory availability. * Leverage data insights to make informed merchandising decisions. * Work closely with cross-functional teams to support promotions, new product launches, and brand storytelling. * Data & Performance Analysis: * Utilize analytics tools to track site performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements. * Support A/B testing initiatives to enhance PDP and collection page effectiveness. We are seeking a Director of Merchandising to serve as the most senior merchandising leader on our team, with full accountability over the Men's, Women's, and Shoes & Accessories divisions. This is a high-impact role responsible for driving the strategic vision and in-season management of the entire division. Reporting into the SVP of Merchandising, you will partner closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to shape product strategy, build and optimize our assortment, and identify opportunities for growth. Day-to-day, this means translating consumer insights and market trends into a cohesive, commercially successful product vision - while working seamlessly alongside Design, Planning, and Production.
