    CIVIL DESIGNER with Civil 3D
    Location: Wallingford, CT.
    Job type: Long-Term Contract

    Our global EPC Firm client is hiring an Assistant Civil Designer (Underground) for a long-term contract opportunity in Wallingford, CT.

    Primary Duties:
    Really looking for Advanced Feature experience with Civil3D which would be Dynamic Plan and Profile experience and referencing using different file types. Underground experience is a plus, but Advanced Civil3D experience is important.

    Work will involve underground utilities design work. Taking cables underground and through water to windfarms.

    Experience with underground power cables, gas lines, telecommunication all sufficient for this role.

    General Duties:
    The Assistant Civil Designer will assist in various phases of planning, proposal preparation, site evaluations, analytical designs, report preparation, specifications, and preparation of construction documentation and environmental plans as part of a project team. This position will work on various projects with a diverse portfolio of project types and clients.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Assist in designing various civil projects including site design, land development, roads, storm drainage systems, stormwater management facilities, water and sanitary sewer utility design, sediment and erosion control, traffic control, airports, and facility design.Assist with a full range of drawing production work including problem analysis, design layout, and calculations on non-routine assignments of substantial variety and complexity.Assist with a variety of civil assignments using prescribed methods and standard techniques including drawing sequence and presentation, sizing various system components, and refining rough sketches.Assist with initial rough designs or sketches and mark-ups on ongoing projects.Assist with analyzing reports, maps, drawings, tests, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design projects.Interpret and apply design codes and specifications related to design requirements.Complete and review design drawings within scope, budget, and schedule.Compute volume calculations for excavation, dredging, and upland site grading.Incorporate schedules, budgets, and project criteria into civil design and layouts.Organize and maintain all revisions of project drawings, plot files, and project-related information in a logical and well-structured manner.


    REQUIREMENTS

    Bachelor's Degree in drafting technology or related field and 2 years of related experienceor Associate's Degree and 3 years related experienceor 4 years of progressive detailing and design experience.Experience using Civil 3D, and Excel to develop the design deliverables.Basic knowledge of design, calculations, and design systems.Basic knowledge of the theory and practices of civil discipline; competent in the fundamental concepts of other disciplines as they relate to the assigned discipline; and capable of operating related discipline design software necessary to execute production tasks.Ability to work collaboratively with others (Project Managers, Engineers, and Designers) in a multi-discipline project team environment to resolve appropriate design or drawing issues and accomplish objectives.Excellent written & verbal communication skills.Time-Management skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.Company DescriptionESPO Engineering, established in 1965, is a premier Technical Recruiting and Staffing firm.

    Our client is looking to hire a Right of Way Specialist to join their team in Bloomington, MN.

    The Right of Way Specialist's responsibilities include:

    The Staff Right of Way Specialist will perform various duties in the facilitation of land acquisitions, negotiations, property research, titles and surveys. This includes performing permitting activities, construction coordination, and restoration on Right of Way projects in a variety of locations.
    - Analyze, prepare, review, and interpret Land and Right of Way related agreements, deeds, easements, leases, permits, and licenses.
    - Research and collect real property related project documents.
    - Translate data from Right of Way documents into the stakeholder management database.
    - Perform quality assurance reviews of stakeholder management database entries from Right of Way field agents.
    - Present technical data to Right of Way project team.
    - Prepare and submit permit applications for the project team.
    - Prepare project status, technical, and acquisition reports for the project team and/or client management.
    - Responsible for document preparation and control, meeting agendas and other various project related activities.
    - Assist with subcontractor management including, reviewing contracts, invoices and change orders.
    - Assist in presenting in public involvement meetings.
    - Perform project planning, budgeting, scheduling activities and establishing critical project objectives within project parameters.
    - Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies.
    - Performs other duties as assigned
    - Complies with all policies and standards
    Job Requirements: - Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or related field and 4 years Right of Way acquisition, relocation, and eminent domain experience, project management and/or real estate experience preferred. Required or Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement Required
    Min HS + 8 yrs relevant exp = level 9
    Associates + 6 yrs relevant exp = level 9
    Bachelors + 4 yrs relevant exp = level 9

    Ability to read and understand title and appraisal reports and land surveys.
    - Demonstrated knowledge of general real estate law.
    - Demonstrated understanding of real estate title work.
    - Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member.
    - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    - Ability to work independently.
    - Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
    - Demonstrated presentation skills.
    - Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
    - Experience with database system management.
    - Must be proficient in the use of computer software (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    - Must meet standards to qualify for and maintain the Company's vehicle driving privileges as outlined in the Company's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy.
    - Valid driver's license Required
    - SR/WA designation Preferred or Other certification from the International Right of Way Association (IRWA) Preferred
    - Real Estate Broker Preferred or Sales License Preferred
