    ESP Associates, Inc. is looking for an experienced Geotechnical Engineer/Project Manager to join our transportation team in Texas. This is an opportunity to continue to grow your career with a well-established, dynamic, and growing engineering, surveying, and planning firm.

    Responsibilities:

    Marketing our geotechnical engineering services to the transportation market in TexasTXDOT experience including design-build projectsEffectively manage client base and client satisfactionPrepare proposals and invoicesManage field engineering and testingPerform, write, and/or review engineering analyses, technical reports, and consultation on transportation projectsInteract and support other ESP operations with technical analysis, as necessaryQuality of all work operations and deliverables

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent (Master’s degree preferred)Professional Engineering License in Texas 5-10 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering on transportation projectsMust have experience with TXDOT geotechnical design including design-build projects sufficient to achieve prequalification with TXDOTDisplays strong technical skills including the performance of foundation analyses, settlement analysis, slope stability analysis, ground improvement techniques, and seismic and liquefaction analysesIs results-oriented with excellent skills in organization, planning, and attention to detailDemonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills with an outgoing personalityDisplays strong leadership and personnel management skillsIs proactive in the advancement of business developmentCandidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy.

    About the Role:

    As a Lead Engineer, you will provide leadership and senior-level engineering/technical expertise on complex electric transmission design projects for high-voltage (HV) and extra high-voltage (EHV) overhead utility systems.

    Some of the main responsibilities will be to ensure the team is meeting client requirements; both quality and schedule deadlines as well as ensuring the team is engaged and their input is valued.     This role will require you to be hands-on and manage, prepare, review and/or provide guidance for line routing, survey coordination, PLS-CADD modeling, structure design, foundation design, clearance checks, plan/profile development, material specification and procurement, constructability evaluations, work order package preparation, permitting, vendor/subcontractor coordination and construction support.
