    ERM is hiring Right of Way (ROW) Agents across Multiple Locations in the U.S. to support pipeline and electric transmission project efforts. ROW Agents will be responsible for the acquisition of land, land rights, licenses, leases, permits and other documents necessary for the construction, operation and maintenance of facilities. This is a project term, field-based position with 100% travel. Right-of-Way (ROW) positions are revolving/on-going positions that are filled on an as-needed basis for specific projects. Physical demands required for the successful performance of this job include standing and/or walking for long hours in a day on uneven and steep terrain, and possibly during variable weather conditions. REQUIREMENTS: * Conduct diverse and complex negotiations with land owners (or their designees). * Work on the settlement of complex damage claims with land owners (or their designees) relative to property damage caused or created during the construction. * Search courthouse and other records to determine present property ownership(s) and the extent of interest therein. * Advise and assist in establishing a range of fair market values to be used in the acquisition of land and land rights. * Draft and/or supervise the preparation of documents for rights of entry, damage claims, contracts, easements, licenses, leases, permits, options to purchase and other documents as may be necessary to acquire adequate rights for the project. * Compliance with corporate health and safety policies. * Perform other duties as assigned or required. REQUIREMENTS: * High school diploma. * 3 to 6 years of ROW experience. * Solid working knowledge of personal computers, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Earth, ArcGIS and data management software. * Knowledgeable in real estate values and accepted real estate appraisal practices. * Ability to work in remote locations for long periods of time; * Excellent interpersonal skills and a high degree of professionalism; * Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications. * Must meet criteria identified in Job Demands Read Less

    Inspectors ERM is hiring Inspectors to perform inspections of water service lines, and work in field teams of two to determine the service line material. Work will occur in properties in Pittsburgh, Sharon, and New Castle, PA; and Youngstown, OH and the surrounding areas. The projects we work on and the services we provide demand teams of multi-disciplinary professionals working collaboratively to meet our clients' needs. The role of an Inspector working within this program requires the use of multiple methods to perform detailed inspections of customer-side water service lines to identify the service line material. This is a part-time (20 hours/weekly), limited-term role for the duration of 2 months, renewable. Responsibilities: Conducting field inspections to determine water service line material. Interacting with, and serving as a point of contact for ERM with landowners, contractors, clients, and other project team members. Reviewing and implementing project documents and data entry. Providing technical leadership, support, and direction to field staff. This includes the coordination of daily inspections, schedules, and meetings. Distributing water sampling test kits and contracts to landowners, as needed. Documenting service line material findings by preparing daily written inspection reports that provide up-to-date, consistent written and photo documentation of activities observed in the field. Participating in various meetings. Performing additional tasks as assigned or required. Requirements: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. A basic understanding of building construction and the ability to locate a water meter/shutoff is preferred but not required. Necessary training will be provided. Strong oral and written communication skills. Proficient technical skills, including, but not limited to, experience using Microsoft Office programs, digital cameras, and other handheld data collection devices. The ability to travel on temporary assignments with short notice. Occasional overnight travel. Must possess a valid Driver's License. Must be able to comply with ERM health and safety procedures.
