    Position Summary The Marketing Manager plays a key role on the Marketing Team at Erikson. An effective communicator who can accurately assess need, priority, and resources required to initiate and complete marketing projects. Under the supervision of the Director of Marketing, this position will create and improve the infrastructure and protocols that allow the department to plan, implement, and evaluate its strategic objectives. The marketing team supports all marketing to external and internal audiences for the graduate school, direct services and professional development. It is inclusive of our web properties - www.erikson.edu, the Faculty/Staff and Student Intranets and my.erikson.edu. Working closely with staff from marketing, communications, admissions, and others inclusive of external creative and production vendors the Marketing Manager will help with brand and lead generation efforts to help meet the goals of the Institute. Principal Duties: * Lead the planning, management, and execution of integrated marketing initiatives across digital and print channels, aligning tactics with institutional goals, audience needs, and timelines. * Own digital marketing campaigns end‑to‑end, including campaign planning, channel selection, execution, optimization, and performance analysis across email, paid media, SEO, and web platforms. * Create and update marketing assets (approximately 35% of role), templates, presentations, digital ads, and print collateral. * Determine creative approach and resourcing for marketing initiatives, balancing hands‑on design work with oversight of external designers, copywriters, and vendors. * Develop marketing and design assets to support go‑to‑market strategies for new programs, products, and services. * Maintain and evolve brand standards; create and update templates to ensure consistency across campaigns and channels. * Evaluate and approve creative deliverables for brand alignment, accessibility, effectiveness, and quality. * Collaborate with internal partners to ensure marketing content, messaging, and web properties remain current, accurate, and strategically aligned. * Manage and organize marketing and creative assets within Office 365, including the Brand Center and shared asset libraries. * Conduct competitive and landscape reviews to inform campaign strategy and creative direction. * Support advertising and sponsorship strategy and execution, as assigned. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications, design, or a related field. * 3+ years of marketing experience, including at least two years supporting integrated marketing campaigns. * Demonstrated experience managing marketing projects across paid social, paid search, email, and web channels. * Working knowledge of SEO best practices, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and performance measurement. * Design fluency with the ability to create, update, or effectively manage marketing assets in collaboration with designers and vendors (experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar tools preferred). * Intermediate proficiency in Google Analytics and related tools, including dashboard reporting on digital and SEO performance. * Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills; able to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously. * Detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively across teams. * Analytical, creative, and solutions-driven mindset. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint * Strong project management, communication, editorial and analytical skills are a must.     This is a nonprofit development position at an accredited higher education institution. Reporting to the Associate Director of Development, the Development & Engagement Coordinator supports Erikson's fundraising work across the full donor cycle -- from initial outreach and cultivation through stewardship and ongoing engagement. This is a hands-on generalist role that touches many parts of the development operation: helping donors feel connected to Erikson's mission, keeping fundraising activities running smoothly, and supporting the team across events, communications, and day-to-day relationship management. The coordinator will play a key role in supporting the annual fundraiser, Inspire Circle cultivation events, and donor stewardship activities. The role is a good fit for someone who is organized, people-oriented, comfortable with details, and eager to learn the full arc of nonprofit fundraising

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES

    Core Function 1: Donor Stewardship & Relationship Support

    Support donor stewardship activities by coordinating acknowledgments, follow-up communications, stewardship tracking, and engagement touchpoints for donors, trustees, and partners.Support prospect research by pulling together basic donor profiles, giving history, and relevant background to help the team prepare for outreach and fundraising conversationsAssist with preparation of donor briefings, guest lists, invitation lists, and background materials to support fundraising strategy and relationship management.Partner with Development staff to support annual giving, donor cultivation, stewardship outreach, and fundraising follow-up activities.Help ensure a high-touch and responsive donor experience through strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.

    Core Function 2: Development Operations

    Track and update donor data related to the annual fundraiser and other campaigns, ensuring records are current and accurate throughout the giving cycle.Coordinate scheduling, logistics, RSVP tracking, and attendee management for Inspire Circle events, donor gatherings, and other development-related activities.Provide administrative and operational support for fundraising efforts, including meeting coordination, calendar support, and follow-up management.Assist with preparation of fundraising reports, stewardship updates, and development tracking materials for internal leadership and team meetings.Maintain organized workflows, process documentation, and operational systems to support efficient execution across Development activities.

    Core Function 3: Event Coordination & Fundraising Support

    Support planning and execution of Inspire Circle gatherings, donor cultivation events, annual fundraiser activities, and other institutional engagement opportunities.Coordinate event logistics including invitations, registration tracking, nametags, seating lists, vendor coordination, and attendee communications.Partner with Development staff and external vendors to support smooth event execution and a strong guest experience.Assist with fundraising coordination activities including stewardship follow-up, sponsorship tracking, and donor engagement logistics.Proactively identify opportunities to improve event coordination processes, stewardship workflows, and operational efficiency across fundraising activities.Handle post-event stewardship follow-up, including thank you outreach, attendance tracking, and record updates in Raiser's Edge.

    Required Qualifications

    3+ years of professional experience in development or a related field, with familiarity with donor lifecycle and fundraising workflowsStrong written communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, warm, and appropriate donor correspondence.Experience with Mailchimp or a similar email marketing platform, including donor list segmentation and campaign support.Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once.Comfortable working with donor databases; Raiser's Edge experience is a plus but not required.Ability to handle confidential donor information with discretion and good judgment.
