Ground Level is seeking a Survey Technician within our Site Development team. The desired candidate will be responsible for project layout in the field, data transfer from our CAD / GIS administrator to the data collectors and other equipment, and routine setup and maintenance of survey equipment. This role requires strong organizational skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills in working with new technology, the ability to adjust and adapt to changing priorities, and solid communication skills. Our successful candidate will be able to work as part of the team to execute scheduled work in a timely manner.
Core responsibilities:
· Layout field projects using provided data
· Verify accuracy of projects in progress
· Daily setup and maintenance of equipment
· Data transfer support
· Communicating with on-site project supervision, GIS / CAD administrator, and other team members
· Strong focus on safety compliance
Preferred qualifications:
· Two years or more experience in the construction layout / surveying field
· Two years or more experience working on or leading a survey team
· Two years or more experience using basic and advanced surveying equipment
· Experience using Top Con or Trimble survey equipment
· Understanding of, or experience working with CAD files in a desktop setting
· Experience working in an MSHA or OSHA industrial environment
Required qualifications:
· Able to demonstrate proficient use of a base, rover, and other data collection equipment
· Physically capable of carrying surveying equipment and supplies in rough terrain and hot weather
· The ability to use technology and advanced devices for timekeeping, project review, etc.
· The ability to work fifty hours a week or more depending on workload
· The ability to work outdoors in potentially adverse conditions
· A valid Florida Driver’s License
· Ability to pass background and drug-screening

Position Description:
· Project Manager is responsible for each of their crews activities ensuring that they are adhering to all company standards/policies

· Will prepare and send out daily job sites to each customer/requestor informing them of crews and activities on jobsites

· Reviews payroll reports from human resources to check for accuracy and return to payroll in a timely manner with any/all corrections by noon
· Project Manager will ensure that all safety inspections are done on jobsites/vehicles and will be part of Ground Level Safety committee

· Will ensure that all crew leaders have and complete daily auto checklist
· Project manager will be responsible for employee needs (any concerns/issues that may arise) and reporting them to the appropriate department
