    Part of Envelop Group, PSG Energy Group makes it easy for customers to explore and implement energy savings and sustainability measures. We take a comprehensive look at our customers' energy usage to identify savings and renewable solution opportunities. We manage the entire process from concept, procurement, and installation, and provide ongoing O&M support.

    As a Solar Electrician, you will support the installation, monitoring, and maintenance of commercial solar systems. This includes troubleshooting electrical equipment, assisting with system startup and commissioning, and performing service and preventative maintenance. The ideal candidate has hands-on electrical experience, strong diagnostic skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with project teams and customers.

    This role requires travel to job sites across Indiana and Illinois.

    What You'll Do:

    Install, program, and commission electrical equipment, inverters, switchgear, meters, and monitoring devices.Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and control system drawings.Perform system testing, device verification, and assist with commissioning of electrical and communication systems.Conduct site visits during construction to ensure quality control of racking, electrical, and communication systems.Diagnose and repair electrical and communication issues, both wired and wireless.Complete required documentation including work orders, timecards, and material requests.Support emergency service calls, preventive maintenance, and customer service needs.Communicate project and service status to management to support cost and billing accuracy.Coordinate with subcontractors and other trades on active job sites.Perform other duties as assigned.

    Required skills, knowledge, and abilities:

    High school diploma or state-recognized GED; completion of an electrical apprenticeship or trade school program.Electrician license strongly preferred.3+ years of electrical installation and service experience in commercial or industrial environments.Hands-on experience with switchgear, transformers, inverters, and metering equipment.Proficiency in installing, wiring, terminating, and testing electrical systems.Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.Experience troubleshooting SCADA, monitoring platforms, and communication networks.

    Physical Demands:

    This role requires frequent local travel to jobsites across Indiana and Illinois. Willingness to work overtime as needed to support critical environment shutdowns on customer's schedule.Ability to work in a variety of circumstances, including but not limited to standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment; working in ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, basements, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions.Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. May be required to satisfy requirements imposed by specific projects, customers, or company.Must be able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet.Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted.

    The Controls Engineer will be responsible for the interpretation of scope and hardware/software design, database creation, graphical user interface, and the implementation of procedures and standards used in the design and programming of controls projects. The Controls Engineer will assist the installation team with system commissioning and device verification in the field.

    What you'll do:

    Configure and program HVAC building automation and control systems (direct digital controls) and create sequence of operations. Develop and test software programs to operate the system.Apply field change information for as-built drawings and software. Perform tasks as required to execute and fully complete assigned projects including: system programming, integration, system and network commissioning and project closeout.Complete hardware design and software programming using established standards.Manage and complete the loading, device verification, and commissioning of all system controllers as required. Validate complete system functionality and resolve issues with subcontractors and others to ensure proper operation. Provide accurate project as-built and commissioning documentation.Perform site-specific training for owner/operator on the total system in full or with assistance. Ensure owner/operator has been trained. Provide proper documentation and manuals for system operation.Perform other duties as assigned.

    Required skills, knowledge, and experience:

    Bachelor's degree in (mechanical) engineering or equivalent training and experience in a similar field.3+ years of technical, hands-on experience with systems design, commissioning and programming of digital HVAC controls systems.Proficiency working with Alerton, Tridium, or Siemens required. Knowledge of the concepts of HVAC controls in new construction, renovation/retrofit project types, components, and systems with the ability to program and commission pre and post installation, preferred.Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.Must be highly organized and possess the ability to work in a high paced environment with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet the schedules given by leadership.Demonstrated ability to operate independently and autonomously and take ownership of all tasks.

    The Siemens Building Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, programming, and implementing Siemens-based HVAC building automation (BAS/DDC) systems for commercial facilities. This role focuses on laying out new installation projects, developing control system designs, and supporting the full lifecycle of controls projects from initial engineering through commissioning and closeout.

    This position is primarily engineering focused, with responsibility for translating project requirements into functional control system designs, sequences of operation, and system architecture.

    What you'll do:

    Design, program, and integrate Siemens-based DDC/building automation systems, including controllers, network architecture, system layouts, and graphical user interfaces, aligned with project requirements and customer objectives. Support the full project lifecycle from pre-sales through closeout, including estimating, technical sales support, system design, proposal development, implementation, commissioning, and final delivery. Interpret project specifications, drawings, and functional requirements to develop efficient, compliant control strategies and sequences of operation. Develop and maintain complete project documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, points lists, network layouts, equipment schedules, bills of material, submittals, as-builts, and O&M manuals. Configure, program, test, and implement control systems and software to ensure proper functionality and alignment with design intent. Support system startup, device verification, network commissioning, integration, and functional performance testing to validate system operation. Collaborate with sales engineers, project managers, field teams, subcontractors, and customers to ensure technical alignment, resolve issues, and support successful project execution. Troubleshoot system issues, support existing installations, and apply field changes to both software and documentation to maintain accurate system performance and records. Maintain detailed documentation of system designs, programming logic, configurations, and project closeout deliverables. Participate in design reviews, customer meetings, and internal collaboration efforts, and support training and knowledge transfer to field teams as needed. Contribute to standardization efforts and stay current on DDC, building automation, and emerging technologies to support continuous improvement. Perform other duties as assigned.

    Required skills, knowledge, and experience:

    Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field. Equivalent training and experience may be considered.2+ years of experience in building automation, HVAC controls, or related engineering field.Exposure to Siemens building automation systems or similar DDC platforms.Understanding of HVAC systems, including air handling units, chillers, boilers, VAV systems, and related equipment.Ability to read and interpret control drawings, schematics, and sequences of operation.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with AutoCAD or similar tools.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
