Compensation:

Position Summary
The School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellow (CF) provides comprehensive speech and language services to K-12 students within partnering schools throughout the Greater Philadelphia region. Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, providing direct therapy services, developing individualized treatment plans, participating in IEP meetings, collaborating with families and educational teams, and helping students develop the communication skills necessary to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
Essential Responsibilities
Speech and Language Therapy Services
Provide individual and group speech-language therapy services in accordance with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)Develop and implement individualized treatment plansUtilize evidence-based therapeutic interventionsMonitor student progress and modify treatment strategies as neededMaintain accurate and timely documentation of services and student progress
Evaluations and Assessments
Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluationsAdminister, score, and interpret standardized and informal assessmentsPrepare comprehensive evaluation reportsParticipate in multidisciplinary evaluations and reevaluations
IEP Participation and Compliance
Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and multidisciplinary team meetingsDevelop measurable communication goals and objectivesMaintain compliance with federal, state, and local special education regulationsComplete required documentation within established timelines
Consultation and Collaboration
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providersProvide consultation regarding speech and language developmentEducate families regarding speech and language developmentContribute to a positive, student- centered educational environment
Professional Responsibilities
Maintain current licensure and required certificationsParticipate in continuing education and professional developmentAdhere to ASHA’s Code of Ethics and Pennsylvania professional standardsDeliver services that reflect best practices in speech-language pathology
Qualifications
Applicants must meet ONE of the following qualifications:
Option 1 - Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP)
Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institutionCurrent Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathologist LicenseCertification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)OR
Option 2 - Clinical Fellow (CF)
Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution Eligible for Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathologist LicensureEligible to participate in the ASHA Clinical Fellowship (CF) Program
