    Serve as a Project Manager for capital and expense projects of all sizes at our client's manufacturing facility. This position also provides technical support to the Production and Maintenance Departments. The successful candidate will work closely with Production, Maintenance, Environmental, Health and Safety teams to develop and execute projects for the manufacturing facility.

    Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

    Develop and implement projects which improve the profitability, operability, reliability, safety, and environmental performance of the client's manufacturing facility in accordance with Business Plan and Plant Specific objectives.Plan and lead the efforts of the project team through the development and execution of projects.  Prepare bid specifications, evaluate bids, and select engineering and construction contractors.Monitor / manage the design and construction of projects to ensure that they are engineered and built according to key project plans and company standards.Develop the scope of projects, evaluating options, and obtaining management approval.  Obtain funding for the projects.Monitor / control the cost & timing of projects to keep expenditures and schedules within the limits authorized by management.  Reporting progress and forecasting costs on a regular basis.  Opens, manages and closes projects in SAP and periodically reports status to management.Manage the start-up of projects and project closure activities in a safe and timely manner so that the project benefits can be fully realized. Provide turnaround support, troubleshooting and engineering analysis.Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

    Job Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred.3+ years' experience in a chemical processing or refinery environment.Strong commitment to personal safety.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with the exceptionally broad array of people having diverse backgrounds encountered during the life of a project.Broad generalized knowledge of chemical, civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control engineering. Broad generalized knowledge of industry design codes, standards, and practices.Broad generalized knowledge of personnel safety, process safety, and environmental principles / regulations.Project management and administrative skills necessary to plan, organize, coordinate, and control the development and execution of a project – including cost and schedule control.Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast paced manufacturing environment.Knowledge of a structured project management or project development and execution process a plus.Excellent technical and problem solving skills to identify alternatives to challenges presented and select the most appropriate solution with minimal guidance or precedence.

    Roles and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and|or optimize mass and energy balance simulations.Support the technology leader in the development and improvement of the basis of design and equipment design which are cost efficient for the engineering execution and end client total capital cost.Prepare comprehensive process design packages to guide engineering and construction teams in the development of polyolefin production facilities.Conduct pre-startup safety reviews to ensure all elements of process safety management are addressed and the facility is ready for safe operations.Support capital projects at various stages, from feasibility studies to detailed engineering and startup.Lead internal and external PHAs and SIL/LOPAs as assigned by the Global Technology LeaderLead HAZOP studies to systematically review process designs and identify potential hazards and operational issues.Provide consulting services to regular procedures, such as troubleshooting production issues. Conduct process audits and performance evaluations to optimize plant operation and product quality.Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field, a Master's degree is preferred.Minimum of 10 years experience in process engineering, with a strong focus on polyolefins technologies. .Expertise in polyethylene and polypropylene production processes, including fluidized bed reactor technologies and CSTR technologies.Proven ability to design, optimize and troubleshoot processes for existing polyolefin production facilities.Proficiency in advanced process simulation tools and engineering software.Experience in developing and delivering detailed process design packages including Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), Basic Engineering Design (BED), and Process Design Basis documentation.Familiarity with creating deliverables such as Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Material and Energy Balances, and equipment datasheets.Extensive experience in conduction Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) studies to identify potential risks and ensure safe and efficient plant operations.Expertise in pre-startup safety reviews (PSSR) to confirm readiness for safe operations and compliance with process safety management standards.Strong knowledge of advanced process control systems, including Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, to optimize production and ensure operational reliability.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and deliver results within time and budget constraints.Experience in commissioning, startup support, and operator training for polyolefin production technologies. (Preferred)Open to international travel.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States or the United Kingdom without sponsorship.

    YOUR ROLE WITH THE COMPANY: This position reports directly to the High Pressure Polyethylene Business Unit Director Lead mechanical engineer tasks such as manhour estimation, on project recruitment, progress tracking and reporting, leading a team of engineers. Review and Develop equipment specifications, operational procedures and become knowledgeable on the equipment necessary for each project.     This position reports directly to the Global Civil|Structural Engineering Manager.Prepare civil | structural engineering deliverables in accordance with Company Management System, current legislation, project requirements and international standards.     Background Profile:

    Bachelor’s Degree Civil or Structural EngineeringLicensed Professional Engineer in either Civil or Structural Engineering in Louisiana and Texas.10+ years of experience engineering structures and foundations for industrial equipment and piping.Minimum of 5 years of experience in various Civil and Structural engineering, operations or other technical rolesAt least 5 years of experience in a multidisciplinary petrochemical design environment.Creative problem definition and problem-solving skills.Self-motivated and capable of delivering high-quality work with little/no supervision guidance.Up-to date knowledge of civil and structural international standards applicable to petrochemical process plants. Familiarity and experience with the following codes or later versions:  AISC 14th edition, ACI 318-08, ASCE 7-10, NFPA 101 2012, IBC 2012.Working knowledge of foundations and structures for fixed and rotating equipment.Up-to date knowledge of key Civil and Structural design and engineering techniques and their applications.Good command of, and experience with, industry standard visualization and calculation tools (e.g. Navis works / STAAD Pro / RAM Elements / MathCaD / SAP 2000 / Tekla/ and other Bentley engineering software etc.).Work effectively with other disciplines to proactively communicate technical needs (loads, mounting geometry, etc.) and provide for their technical requirements (access, clearances, etc.)Must be capable of working a part of a close-knit small core team as well as being self-reliant with the confidence to make decisions acting on their own initiative.Organized with the ability to support multiple concurrent projects.Site experience (e.g. construction, site troubleshooting, site survey, fabricator shop etc.).Comfortable with occasional opportunities for international travel.Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
