You will work with corporate functions including Accounting, AP, Treasury, IT, FP&A, Procurement, and AIFA to support effective business processes and help resolve operational issues. You will also work closely with cross‑functional teams in Project Development, Project Delivery, and Operations/Asset Management, providing analytical and operational support to managers, directors, and vice presidents across these groups. This role offers exposure to complex renewable energy projects and opportunities to further develop technical, analytical, and business partnering skills within a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities * Provide strategic leadership and mentorship to the 24x7 Remote Operations team comprised of both command / control and monitoring / maintenance sub-team * Lead interactions with interconnected teams such as Field Service, Performance / Reliability, and Engineering to align priorities and optimize asset performance * Lead control testing and SCADA related initiatives for new and existing assets in coordination with engineering and IT support functions * Facilitate coordination with 24 x 7 real-time market desk to optimize asset financial performance * Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to report findings and support corrective actions. * Collaborate with both internal and external compliance professionals to ensure compliance of operational assets * Collaborate with a variety of teams and use existing / new tools to ensure the continuous safety of both personnel and equipment * Lead the development of protocols and procedures for operational wind, storage and BESS assets ensuring alignment with industry best practices, safety standards, and ENGIE's long-term performance objectives What You'll Bring * High school diploma/technical degree or equivalent education where you gain knowledge and or experience with leadership, management, communication, organizational, operational and prioritization skills * Minimum of ten (10) years in Real-Time Operations (RTO) within the electricity or thermal sector such as generation, transmission, or distribution * Minimum of five (5) years in a people management capacity * Experience leading teams and managing cross-functional projects * Working knowledge of power system operations concepts including; voltage control, automatic generation control, system operating limits, and practical knowledge of protection and controls such as relay schemes, automatic reclosing and instrument transformers * Experience handling asset switching and isolation in a leadership capacity * Extensive experience with SCADA integration and troubleshooting * Experience / familiarity with key safety concepts such as Lock-out-Tag-out (LOTO) * Familiarity with key compliance requirements and concepts for North American power generation facilities * Experience with performance monitoring and maintenance activities. Additional Details * Must be located or willing to locate in Houston, Texas and be in person at the Engie Houston office multiple days per week * Must be available to travel domestically up to 25% of the time, including overnight trips. * Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies. Compensation Salary Range: $155,200 - $210,000 USD annually This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate. ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
