    We are seeking an experienced Manager, Engineering to lead day-to-day engineering delivery across active engagements within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management. This is a senior, client-facing leadership role responsible for owning team performance, technical execution, and release coordination while remaining hands-on with design, technical problem solving, and delivery oversight.

    The Manager, Engineering operates as a player-coach, setting technical direction, ensuring delivery quality, and providing leadership across engineering teams. The role is accountable for driving consistency, quality, and scalability in engineering delivery while partnering closely with Functional Architects, Delivery Management, and Technology leadership. This is a primarily remote position; however, preference will be given to those located near or within reasonable proximity to the Lisle office.


    Role Scope & Responsibilities

    Engineering Delivery & Technical Execution

    - Approves Technical Design Documents (TDDs) and leads design reviews to ensure accuracy, alignment to standards, and performance considerations

    - Owns code review and pull request (PR) approval standards, ensuring quality gates are enforced across development and integration work

    - Oversees engineering delivery across X++ development, integrations, data entities, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Electronic Reporting (ER), and technical unit testing

    - Drives technical decisions across architecture, platform design, independent software vendor (ISV) solutions, and performance optimization and system scalability in partnership with Director, Technology and Technical Architect

    - Remains hands-on in complex design, code review, and technical problem solving as a player-coach

    Team Leadership & People Development

    - Leads engineering team performance, including coaching, mentorship, and career development

    - Sets priorities, work assignments, and execution sequencing across Lead, Senior, and Application Engineers

    - Owns hiring, onboarding, and capability development across the engineering team

    - Identifies skill gaps and builds technical capability to support delivery and long-term growth

    - Provides ongoing feedback, guidance, and performance management to team members


    Support, Enhancements & Release Coordination

    - Owns production issue escalation, root cause analysis, and support performance

    - Manages enhancement backlog planning and delivery in partnership with functional and delivery leadership

    - Leads release planning, including platform updates and One Version upgrade cycles

    - Ensures coordination across build, validation, and release activities to enable stable and predictable delivery


    Core Accountabilities

    - Owns engineering delivery quality, velocity, and predictability across active engagements

    - Accountable for technical design quality, code standards, technical unit testing, and defect resolution

    - Responsible for team performance, staffing alignment, and professional development of engineers

    - Drives continuous improvement in engineering practices, tools, and delivery standards

    - Ensures release readiness and platform stability across all client environments


    Qualifications

    - 7+ years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management or related enterprise ERP platforms

    - Strong experience in engineering delivery, including development, integrations, and technical architecture

    - Proven ability to lead engineering teams in a consulting or professional services environment

    - Deep understanding of X++, integrations, reporting, and technical design practices

    - Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and functional teams

    - Experience leading code reviews, technical design decisions, and engineering standards

    - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)


    Salary & Benefits

    - The total compensation for this role is $130k to $175k, depending on years of comparable experience, skill set, and the unique value you bring.

    - Must be legally entitled to work in the United States.

This person translates complex business requirements into scalable, implementation-ready designs and leads solution decisions across processes, integrations, data, and security.

    This is a senior client-facing consulting role requiring deep functional expertise across D365 Supply Chain Management and Manufacturing.
