The work schedule includes at least 120 hours of coverage per month. Employed (W2) status. INSIGHT Hospital & Medical Center Coldwater provides 24/7/365 coverage and staff with board-certified emergency medicine physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants. We are staffed with excellent specialty backup, including but not limited to orthopedic surgery, ENT, radiology, trauma surgery, supportive nursing staff and administrative staff.

Key Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough initial assessments and triage patients based on the severity of their condition, ensuring timely and appropriate care.
Medical Treatment: Administer treatment and provide medical interventions for a wide range of emergency medical conditions, including trauma, cardiac events, respiratory distress, and more.
Diagnostic Procedures: Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures such as X-rays, EKGs, and laboratory tests to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Medication Management: Administer medications, including intravenous, oral, and intramuscular medications, as prescribed by the attending physician.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including patient histories, assessments, interventions, and discharge instructions.
Collaborative Care: Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
Patient Education: Provide patients and their families with clear and empathetic explanations of diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
Emergency Procedures: Assist in emergency procedures, including intubation, CPR, and other life-saving interventions as needed.
Compliance: Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and facility policies to ensure compliance and patient safety.
Qualifications:
Current North Carolina Physician Assistant license and certification.Previous experience in emergency medicine or a related field is preferred.Strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.ACLS and PALS certification (or willingness to obtain).Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.Community:
