Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Tax Manager to lead our tax department and oversee the preparation, review, and delivery of complex tax engagements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public accounting, exceptional leadership abilities, and extensive experience preparing and reviewing complex individual and business tax returns. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can effectively manage staff, ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations, and deliver outstanding client service.
Key Responsibilities
Manage, supervise, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals.Review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, trusts, estates, and nonprofit organizations.Prepare complex tax returns as needed, particularly for high-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses.Ensure all tax engagements are completed accurately, efficiently, and within established deadlines.Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, providing proactive tax planning and consulting services.Research complex tax issues and communicate findings and recommendations to clients and firm leadership.Monitor changes in federal, state, and local tax laws and educate staff on new regulations and best practices.Review workpapers for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with professional standards.Assist with IRS and state tax examinations, notices, and correspondence.Manage workflow, staffing assignments, project scheduling, and engagement budgets.Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency within the tax department.Participate in client development efforts by identifying additional service opportunities and supporting business development initiatives.Foster a collaborative, positive, and high-performing team environment.Ensure compliance with firm policies, ethical standards, and applicable professional regulations.Qualifications
10+ years of recent public accounting tax experience.Previous tax management or supervisory experience required.Extensive experience preparing and reviewing complex individual and business tax returns.Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.Experience with partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, trusts, estates, and multi-state taxation.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple engagements and prioritize competing deadlines.Proven leadership, coaching, and team development experience.Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.Proficiency with tax preparation and research software.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.Preferred Qualifications
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred, not required.Bachelor’s degree in Taxation or Accounting.Experience working with closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals.Experience with tax planning and consulting services.Familiarity with workflow management software and paperless tax systems.Experience participating in firm growth and business development initiatives.Required Skills & Competencies

Senior Bookkeeper Reviewer
In this Senior Bookkeeper role, some responsibilities are as follows but not limited to:
Bookkeeper (Reviewer) Role:
· Perform Reviews/audits on all Bookkeeping projects
· Provide feedback/coaching to bookkeepers after reviews are completed
· Provide training to the team on areas identified that need to be addressed
· Complete 1v1 training when needed
· Complete Bookkeeping role duties when needed
· Actively participates in the daily/weekly/monthly huddles/meetings
· Answers questions and inquiries from management, auditors, and regulatory authorities
· Performs other duties as assigned
Bookkeeper (Preparer) Role:
· Manage finances for our Business and clients
Obtain primary financial data for accounting records· Tracking revenue, expenses, taxes, and financial documents
· Producing financial reports
· Perform audits as needed
· Check the accuracy of business transactions
· Manage all payments, payment processing perform duties with accuracy and timeliness
· Assists with the monthly reconciliation of balance sheet and income statement accounts
· Perform data entry and administrative duties
· Prepare accounting records by compiling and analyzing account information
· Reconcile financial records to help ensure accuracy of financial statements
· Post financial transactions to accounts and prepare financial statements
· Prepare monthly Financial Reports of varying detail for the Company and Company's Clients
· Study financial trends to determine future business needs
· Reconciles records, investigates transaction errors and resolves problems.
· Files business documents and responds to vendor/customer inquiries.
· Actively participates in the daily/weekly/monthly huddles/meetings
· Performs monthly, quarterly, and annual processing of accounting information for related reporting requirements
· Assists with the monthly reconciliation of balance sheet and income statement accounts
· Answers questions and inquiries from management, auditors, and regulatory authorities
· Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· 5+ years of Bookkeeping experience
· Previous experience in accounting, finance, or other related fields specifically accounts receivable and accounts payable
· Strong understanding of bookkeeping procedures/processes/nuances
· Strong skills with 10 key and Excel
· Ability to prioritize and multitask
· Strong organizational skills
· Deadline and detail-oriented
· Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and accounting systems

Director – Tax
Position Summary
The Tax Director is a senior leadership role responsible for serving as the primary relationship manager and trusted advisor for a portfolio of clients while providing strategic tax planning, consulting, and oversight of complex tax engagements. This is a highly client-facing position focused on building long-term relationships, delivering exceptional service, and helping clients achieve their business and financial objectives.
In addition to leading engagements and mentoring team members, the Director plays a key role in the firm's continued growth through business development, client retention, and leadership initiatives. This position offers a clearly defined path to Partner for individuals who demonstrate exceptional client leadership, technical expertise, business development success, and alignment with the firm's values.
The ideal candidate is an experienced public accounting professional with outstanding relationship-building skills, strong business acumen, and a passion for developing people while delivering exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
Client Leadership & Business Advisory

Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Minimum of 10 years of progressive tax experience in public accounting.Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing tax professionals.Extensive experience serving as the primary advisor and relationship manager for business clients.Strong technical expertise reviewing complex tax returns across multiple entity types.Demonstrated success managing multiple client engagements and competing priorities.Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.Proven ability to build trusted client relationships and deliver exceptional client service.
CPA license is not required. Candidates with significant public accounting experience and demonstrated technical expertise are strongly encouraged to apply.

Support & Resources
To maximize client service and leadership effectiveness, the Tax Director is supported by an Executive Assistant who provides administrative assistance with scheduling, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, document management, and other operational responsibilities, allowing the Director to focus on client relationships, team leadership, and strategic initiatives.

This role is ideal for a tax professional with strong technical expertise complex business returns who thrives in a fast-paced environment and maintains exceptional organizational standards.
The Tax Reviewer will be responsible for reviewing a wide range of tax returns — from individual filings to complex partnership and corporate returns — ensuring technical accuracy, compliance, and completeness. This individual will also provide coaching and feedback to preparers while serving as a technical resource for the firm.
