    We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Store Receiver to join our cross-functional retail team. This role combines essential warehouse receiving duties with frequent direct customer service, ideal for candidates who enjoy working actively with inventory and assisting customers in a fast-paced retail environment. The Store Receiver will play a key role in maintaining accurate inventory and supporting store operations while providing outstanding service.

     

    Responsibilities

    Unload incoming deliveries safely and efficientlyVerify shipments against packing slips and purchase ordersInspect merchandise for damage and report discrepanciesReceive inventory into the proprietary inventory systemOrganize and stock merchandise in appropriate locationsAssist with maintaining accurate inventory levelsKeep receiving and warehouse areas clean and organizedHelp customers locate products and answer questionsOperate cash registers and process customer transactions when neededAssist with stocking shelves, merchandising, and store appearanceProvide outstanding customer service at all times

     

    Required Qualifications

    This position combines blueprint estimating, material takeoffs, contractor sales, purchasing, vendor management, and project coordination. The ideal candidate understands residential construction, can read blueprints, prepare accurate material lists, communicate effectively with contractors, and manage vendor relationships.

    Responsibilities

    Review residential and light commercial blueprints and construction plans

    Prepare accurate material takeoffs and cost estimates

    Generate customer quotes and proposals

    Create framing packages, deck packages, and material lists

    Perform deck takeoffs using estimating software

    Prepare Andersen and Harvey window quotations

    Generate door and millwork quotations

    Prepare stair quotations and specialty building material quotes

    Process contractor and homeowner sales orders

    Follow up on active quotes, deliveries, and special orders

    Order inventory and special-order materials from vendors and manufacturers

    Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as needed

    Compare vendor pricing and negotiate competitive costs

    Build and maintain strong vendor relationships

    Track purchase orders and resolve vendor discrepancies

    Coordinate deliveries and special-order materials

    Work closely with sales staff, contractors, builders, and homeowners

    Maintain current knowledge of building materials and industry trends

    Verify outgoing orders and deliveries for accuracy

    Required Qualifications

    Experience reading residential construction blueprints

    Ability to perform material takeoffs and estimates

    Experience using Square Takeoff software

    Experience with Epicor Eagle

    Experience quoting Andersen or Harvey windows

    Experience quoting doors and millwork products

    Experience preparing stair quotations

    Prior contractor sales experience

    Lumberyard or building supply industry experience

    Ideal Candidate

    Former contractor, carpenter, estimator, project manager, inside sales representative, purchasing agent, or experienced lumberyard professional who understands construction plans and enjoys helping customers successfully complete their projects.

    Schedule: Monday-Friday with occasional Saturday rotation
