This position is accountable for the proper service, repair, programming, and routine maintenance of fire alarm systems to ensure quality production, and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities include:
- Install or upgrade fire alarm systems in commercial and residential buildings.
- Running cable and bending conduit
- Working knowledge of low voltage electrical systems
- Troubleshoot and repair alarm system malfunctions.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls and completed work.
- Customer service, coordination, and communication
- Proficiency in time management.
- Technical fire protection system project and administrative support
- Ability to work independently or supervise others as required.
- Solid troubleshooting skills
- Participate in education and training classes.
Job Requirements
To qualify for the Fire Alarm Technician position, you must have a minimum of 3 years experience with fire alarm systems.
Additional requirements may include:
- NICET Certification Fire Alarm Level 1 or higher (preferred)
- Proficiency with computer skills, and email.
- Strong customer service skills and communications.
- Familiarity with NFPA standards (including 70 and 72)
