Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Conduit Technician is responsible for installing, bending, and securing conduit systems for electrical and communication wiring in accordance with blueprints, specifications, and safety codes. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in commercial, industrial, and/or residential environments.
Key Responsibilities:Measure, cut, thread, and bend conduit using manual and power tools.Install various types of conduit (EMT, PVC, rigid, flexible) according to project requirements.Pull, route, and secure electrical wiring through conduit systems.Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings to determine conduit layout.Ensure all work meets applicable electrical codes and safety standards.Perform conduit system testing and inspections as needed.Maintain tools and equipment in safe, working condition.Collaborate with electricians, supervisors, and other construction team members to meet deadlines.Adhere to OSHA and company safety guidelines at all times.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent 1–3 years of experience in conduit installation or related electrical/construction work.Proficient in using conduit benders, threading machines, drills, and measuring tools.Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety practices.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.Physically able to work in varying conditions, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working at heights or in confined spaces.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
