The I&E Improvement Leader/Planner will be responsible for planning all I&E work orders for the plant. Responsible for accessing work, establishing plans, ordering/receiving materials, scheduling work, etc.
What you will be doing:
Establish Preventative Maintenance work plans for I/E equipment, both existing and new Work with I/E Supervisor, I/E Maintenance Specialist and I/E Technicians as needed to troubleshoot I/E issues for planning and scheduling repairs Actively participate in the work order Planning and Scheduling process, which includes morning and afternoon update meetingsAssist the I/E Maintenance Specialist in managing the plant interlock matrices and interlock testing procedures and documentation Assist in maintaining I/E equipment filesDevelop specification sheets for instruments, old and newIn the field, following up on I/E problems, immediate and longer term, and propose action plans for improvement Assist storeroom personnel by managing I/E spare equipment, inventory and off-site turnaround of repairsActively implement and maintain a high standard for I/E installations and repairs Support and participate in all required plant HSSE initiativesWork with the I&E Maintenance Specialist as needed to oversee/supervise contract I/E crews as requiredSupport capital activities by participating in design reviews and ensuring the maintainability of new projectsHEALTH, SAFETY, & ENVIRONMENTAL (HSE) RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure that all contractors doing work in the plant have the required HS&E safety training prior to performing maintenance work or repairsSubmit any safety concerns/incidents electronically for review, investigation and resolution of riskParticipate as needed on the safety audit team to monitor and improve safety within the plantQualifications:
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experienceMin 5+ years’ experience in I/E work in a chemical plant and/or refinery environment with proven expertise in planning and executing work. Must have instrumentation experience AND electrician experience and has worked as an I&E Technician and/or PlannerWorking knowledge of applicable I/E codes, installation requirements and troubleshooting techniquesBasic knowledge of the DCS/PLC programming environment and what it takes to troubleshoot and solve control problemsTransportation Worker’s Identification Credentials (TWIC)Excellent communication skillsProficient using SAP as the CMMS platformNCCER in Instrument and Electrical is preferredEcovyst is the leader in sulfuric acid regeneration.
