Our subsidiary, Ecoservices, is on the hunt for a Reliability Engineer for the West Coast
Under the general direction of the Director of Reliability, the Reliability Engineer will provide advanced knowledge and technical expertise to deploy continuous improvement in process and asset reliability through the detection and elimination of defects. This role will partner with and support Operations and Maintenance through identification and reduction and/or elimination of production losses and high maintenance cost assets to promote plant objectives in the areas of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE), asset capability, quality, and production. The Reliability Engineer role will focus on the longer-term (2+ years) strategic implementation of plant asset reliability improvements. This role will focus on the West Coast plants and also provide support across the Network as needed.
The base salary range for this position in as for the job description criteria as listed is $140,000 to $155,0000 annually. Our salary ranges are determined by market data based on position and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum salaries for that position. Responsibilities:
Lead the development, design and installation of predictive maintenance programs and technology applications to identify dominant deterioration and failure modes, causes/effects of deterioration, and corrective actions required to eliminate defects. Analyze maintenance data to identify trends in equipment performance that adversely affect Safety, Overall Equipment Effectiveness, or costs to establish a list of “Bad Actors” that will become the primary focus of driving improved reliability. Drive the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as Asset Utilization, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), On-Stream Time (OST), and benchmark performance against best-in-class, track progress, and measure improvements.Conduct analysis/investigations and provide leadership to others in Failure Mode & Effects Analysis & Root Cause Analysis on equipment failures that significantly affect Safety, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), or costs. Ensure the results from this analysis become the basis for the applicable Equipment Maintenance Strategies.Assist with the management of the company’s Mechanical Integrity (MI) Program and ensure that all required testing and new work follows state and federal code requirements, as well as Eco Services’ expectations and Best Practices. This role must close gaps identified quickly to drive compliance and long-term value.Develop a comprehensive Spare Parts Strategy. Create accurate development of equipment Bill of Materials for new spare parts added. Review and provide technical input into capital projects, including the management of the maintenance portion of the Early Equipment Care program. Support plants in the field implementation of all the above strategies, and when requested during times of major unplanned equipment failures.Support Operations and Maintenance on troubleshooting failures, repairs and evaluating whether the equipment is designed to meet its intended or existing service conditions.During PM work, closely follow jobs to ensure that repair details such as clearances, tolerances, materials of construction, welding procedures, etc. are provided and documented. Provide technical support and involve asset subject matter experts and suppliers/vendors as needed.Visible field presence during planned TA to work with Maintenance Engineers to perform field inspections of major equipment, and to collect data to verify adequacy of FMEAs, Equipment Strategies, and PM frequencies, and make adjustments/updates where necessary.Represent the West Coast plants and actively participate in the Reliability Network meetings sharing any strategies and leveraging in any actions from others learning events.Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience. Mechanical engineering preferred.3+ years of relevant maintenance and reliability experience, preferably in a chemical, petrochemical, or refinery production plants with emphasis on implementing preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.Travel (30-50%) to support Reliability Network for activities in the West Coast and in the Network for areas of expertise.Skills and Knowledge

The Logistics Coordinator for Ecoservices in Hammond, IN is responsible for the execution and tracking of truck and railcar shipments, maintaining accurate shipping records, communicating with customers, and ensuring proper billing and documentation. This role serves as a vital liaison between logistics, operations, and customers to ensure efficient and compliant product movement. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently are critical to success in this position.
What you will be doing:
• Obtain paperwork and shipping instructions for truck and railcar shipments
• Collect and manage data on product quantities, specs, and load/unload schedules
• Create daily driver self-loading packets
• Electronically enter shipping and billing information for outbound acid products
• Email Certificates of Analysis and billing details to customers for each shipment
• Manage customer orders using SAP and verify product movement
• Monitor customer inventory and schedule deliveries to maintain required levels
• Assist with customer complaints and resolve billing discrepancies
• Cross-train with Administrative Assistant on daily rail switching and loading tasks
• Handle spent receipt entry and raw material receiving
• Maintain treatment services and safety department records
• Input shipment data and finalize Bills of Lading
• Complete DOT HAZMAT training and adhere to compliance standards
Required Qualifications:
• One-year technical school certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience, including military experience
• 5+ years of experience in truck and rail logistics strongly preferred
• Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Excel, Word, Lotus Notes, and Exchange
• Strong attention to detail with excellent accuracy and time management skills
• Comfortable working in a physically active environment, including walking, standing, and lifting up to 10 lbs
• Able to work in varying environmental conditions (heat, chemicals, mechanical parts)
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
