    Electrical Foreman (Commercial)

    Position Summary:

    Primary function is the installation of power and lighting circuits, equipment, devices, and equipment.

    Install all new electrical equipment and apparatus at the job site.

     

    Primary Duties:

     Install, upgrade and maintain all electrical equipment in accordance with company’s planned

    maintenance system and to manufacturers’ specifications.

     Install new electrical systems and equipment per drawings. Through understanding of project scope.

     Conduct safety inspections of all major pieces of equipment, making repairs, adjustments/calibrations as required.

     Test circuit connections using electrical test equipment.

     Prepare and submit daily paperwork, safety documentation, and incident reports to comply with

    the company’s and customers’ requirements. Maintain all required records, documentation and

    certifications of electrical equipment.

     Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code

     Oversee and direct crew on jobsite.

     Other duties as assigned.

     

    Position Requirements:

     Knowledge of basic electrical diagnostic equipment for AC service up to 480 V.

     Must adhere to company policies, safe work practices and work requirements, including lockout/

    tag-out requirements.

     Ability to identify and correct electrical deficiencies in systems and equipment.

     General knowledge of safety regulations/requirements.

     Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

     Proficiency in Microsoft Office platform.

     Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.

     Flexibility and the capacity to handle a wide range of situations and personalities.

     Must be organized and can adhere to priorities and deadlines.

     Must be able to travel from location to location.

     

    Education: High School Diploma or GED with preferred vocational or other technical school,

    certification, training or apprenticeship beyond high school.

     

    Experience: 6-8 years electrical experience including experience with 110, 220, and 480 volts and

    control circuits. Preferred equipment maintenance and repair experience.

    Licenses, Certifications or Registrations: Employee must have valid driver’s license if operating a

    company vehicle or their own vehicle for work purposes. State Electrical License is preferred but not

    required.

     

    Physical Requirements:

     Lift up to 50 pounds

     Standing for prolonged periods of time

     Frequent bending and squatting

     Ability to work on step ladders and extension ladders
