    ABOUT THIS ROLE

    The Mechanic will be responsible for inspecting the vehicle's mechanical components and its engine, diagnosing problems with vehicles, and performing maintenance and repair work on cars, trucks, and other vehicles.

    DUTIES INCLUDE

    Active participation in East Bay Tire's Safety program to maintain a healthy and injury-free environmentParticipate in training and company meetings to facilitate individual and company growthSupply their own tools that are needed to perform the mechanical work for which they have ASE certifications. Experience operating and using basic Specialized equipment such as lifts, alignment machine's, battery charger/tester, AC recycler, Etc., to be supplied by East Bay Tire Co.Supply own hand tools, small equipment, and perform all mechanical works as assigned for given work location. Keep the shop and surrounding area clean and always maintainedMaintain a clean and organized work area. All tools and equipment should be put away and cleaned after use. Always maintain a safe work area and report any safety issues immediately. Wear proper PPE as required for the work being performed. Perform all mechanical work in which you are certified. You must maintain minimum ASE certifications in brakes and suspension and steering.Must be able to properly look up labor hours using computer software provided by the company (Mitchell). Training will be provided if necessary. Must be able to properly diagnose mechanical issues Ability to perform tire-related job duties as required or as needed, if no mechanical work is availableTurn in service orders to be invoicedDevelop and maintain a thorough knowledge of products and services to provide accurate information to customersAdherence to company and safety policies and procedures

    East Bay Tire Co. is not responsible for lost, broken, or stolen tools. It is the responsibility of the mechanic to ensure that tools are properly stored and locked up.

    REQUIREMENTS

    2 years of working experience in the mechanical field, experience in brakes, suspension, etc.ASE Certification is a plus.2 years' experience working in the tire industry preferred but not requiredBilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.Must have a strong commitment to achieving goals with a teamwork mentalityMust have great communication/interpersonal skills Must be motivated with a good business sense and understandingMust have good decision-making/judgment skillsMust be extremely organized and detail-oriented.Must be a team player, with the initiative and ability to do what it takes to get the job done Computer skills with a variety of programs, including Excel, Outlook, and various other computer systemsMust have a valid driver's license and clean driving recordMust be a self-starter, be willing to take initiative, and be willing to work without direct supervisionMust be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds as required for the jobAbility to meet deadlines, multi-task, and work independently on tight deadlines with multiple priorities

    LOCATION

    This position will work out of our Benicia, CA location.

    ABOUT THIS ROLE

    The warehouse driver is responsible for driving various East Bay Tire vehicles while delivering goods and products to customers, clients, and accounts. You will make deliveries and pick up inventory as needed.


    DUTIES INCLUDE

    Active participation in East Bay Tire's Safety program to maintain a healthy and injury free environmentParticipate in training and company meetings to facilitate individual and company growthDrives commercial truck to deliver tires to customers as well as other East Bay Tire locationsPerforms initial vehicle inspection at the beginning of each shiftUnloads different types and sizes of tires at delivery siteCollects money from customers on COD accounts Records delivery information on pick ticketsInform regular customers of new tires available when questionedListens to and resolves service complaintsCollects or picks up rejected tires or unsold merchandiseIssues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or deliveryResponsible for routine vehicle presentation/cleanlinessWork on special projects and perform other tasks as needed Adherence to company and safety policies and procedures

    REQUIREMENTS
