Principal Responsibilities:
Prepares work to be cost estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research, applying knowledge of product design, fabrications, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operatorsDesign, recommend, and advise on manufacturing tools, fixtures, and fabrication equipment including repair and buildLight design for stamping dies, locating fixtures and machining fixturesProvide trouble shooting of metal forming operations, including stamping, welding and press brakeCreate and maintain inspection drawings of parts using AutoCAD and InventorCreate and maintain Process Inspection BoardsDevelop manufacturing processes and improvementsAssure product quality by developing robust processes, inspection methods, and toolingContribute to quoting of new work through analyzing previous performance and developing process workflowsLaunch new programs and assist with creating tooling, Machining trials and improvementsOther duties as assignedSafe Practice Guidelines / Required Personal Protective Equipment:
