    The Tanker & HazMat Endorsement Driver - Class A CDL safely transports and delivers gasoline and distillates by diesel-powered tractor/trailer combination to customer locations with below or above-ground tanks. This is a local day shift position in Nashville, TN (Joelton area) with the hours being 4:00AM - 4:00PM.


    Responsibilities:

    We are seeking a CDL Class A Driver with Tanker and HazMat endorsements to join our TRM Aviation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting and delivering Jet A fuel via a diesel-powered tractor/trailer to customer locations with above- or below-ground tanks. When not on the road, the driver will support general housekeeping and maintenance at our base location. This is based at Ross County Airport in Chillicothe, Ohio.


    Job Responsibilities

    Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of fuel delivery equipment and report or resolve any issues Perform minor repairs and maintenance on delivery equipment at fuel sites Ensure all unit and product documents are present and comply with current DOT and HAZMAT regulationsSafely load, transport, and deliver Jet A fuel into above-ground tanks using onboard pump systems Adhere to fuel loading terminal operating instructions and emergency procedures along with the company procedures for loading and unloadingFollow all terminal and company operating procedures and emergency protocols for fuel loading/unloading Determine before and after delivery tank measurements checking for water and other contaminationMaintain a professional attitude and appearance, especially when making deliveries to customersCollaborate with pilots and helicopter crews on-site to conduct fuel testing and obtain signed fuel receipts Assist with annual inspections/filter changes at respective heliports Operate the On-Board computer system effectively to maintain driver logs and trip information and prepare customer bills of lading (BOL)Accurately provide assessorial information onto BOLProvide DOT with required information during inspections and stopsRequirements:Valid CDL Class A license Tanker and HazMat endorsements requiredStrong knowledge of DOT and HAZMAT safety regulationsAbility to work independently and responsibly in a safety-sensitive environment Ability to travel over night as neededWillingness to assist with non-driving tasks as neededMay be required to lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds1 year of driving experience required; experience in the petroleum industry is preferred
