JOB SUMMARY:
Performs professional nursing care for patients in a primary care setting (the home or alternate-site setting) according to nursing practices, agency policies and regulations. Provide nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the scope of the RN as defined by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process for patients in accordance with the NC nurse practice act, physician orders and established policies and procedures. Manage prescription refills as directed by provider. Assists in developing data collection tools and Is responsible to assist in analyzing, and trending data around regulatory and compliance measures including but not limited to EMTALA, Pain, Procedural Sedation, Trauma, Stroke, MI, Sepsis and other
Collaborate with Emergency Department and hospital leadership on short term projects to improve or enhance Balance Score Card metrics as necessary
Identify areas of opportunity and develop processes, initiatives and action plans to address performance and compliance issues. Complete all SSE / RCA investigations and action plans - to include development of countermeasures, implementation and audits
Collaborate with nursing leadership to engage in activities to ensure compliance with established practices; work with nursing leadership to keep employees abreast of current standards; develop, in conjunction with others, appropriate training. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

General Description
Perform a variety of routine and complex technical tasks in the performance of laboratory tests to obtain data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Job duties are dependent on the laboratory and may be composed of a combination of the following duties and responsibilities related to the specialization. Tasks are performed according to written procedures and policies with careful monitoring of quality control and quality assurance practices.
Work Performed
Perform a variety of tests in clinical laboratories using standard techniques and equipmentPerform related duties in the laboratory to include specimen handling, using manual and automatic equipment to test specimens, and performing and reporting analytical tests.Operate manual or computerized instrumentation.Calibrate and maintain instrumentation according to standard operating procedure.Process patient samples for testing using appropriate identification techniques and written procedures to ensure quality material for testing.Perform basic troubleshooting of assay problems as directed by senior staff.Communicate problems/issues to appropriate individuals.Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.Participate in the development of new medical laboratory tests and techniques.Participate in the preparation for lab inspections.Review lab inspection documents and procedures to maintain knowledge. Bachelors of Science/Bachelor of Arts in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Science; or Medical Technology required. Minimum educational or experience requirements may be modified on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment) director if minimal CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment) requirements are met by the employee for the tasks being performed.

Work Performed
- Install, maintain and repair electrical equipment and circuits such as wire, conduit, switches, outlets, junction boxes, transformers, motors, and generators in facilities such as washers, dryers, ranges, timing devices, steam and electric heating units, exhaust systems, smoke detectors, fire alarms, clock and bell systems, electrical surgical units, hypothermal units, humidifiers, suction machines, electrical beds, thermostats and electrical systems of furnaces and boilers. - Isolate and correct malfunctions in equipment and circuits of a routine recurring nature; use voltmeter, ammeters, and circuit analyzers. - Cut, thread, bend, and install conduit. - Disassemble, clean, repair, and reassemble electrical motors and related equipment following established procedures. - Test, maintain, and repair all emergency electrical equipment. - Operate and maintain all projection equipment. - Follow a predetermined schedule of preventive maintenance on equipment and circuits to check for proper operation, loose connections, overheating, leaking, insulation, arcing, deterioration, cleanliness, vibration, alignment, and lubrication. - Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
