    How You’ll Make an Impact
    Dudek is seeking as-needed Decontamination Technicians to conduct watercraft decontamination services, documentation, reporting, on-site surveys, customer service, outreach and education, and interaction with the public and partners of the Department of Water Resources (DWR) and California State Parks. Work will be conducted in the field at DWR locations at Lake Oroville in Butte County, California. Decontamination Technicians will be responsible for decontaminating each watercraft for aquatic invasive species and assess risk in accordance with control guidance and according to established protocol. Training will be provided by Dudek. Technicians will be required to decontaminate higher risk vessels to remove the biological risk of infestation. The number of hours depends on project needs; 40 hours per week is not guaranteed. This project is slated to end December 2026.

    Duties and Responsibilities Aquatic Invasive Species outreach and education of watercraft owners/operatorsPerform decontaminations according to protocol.Documentation, data entry, reporting.Clear communication with the public, staff, partners, and professional demeanor.All work will be conducted under the guidance of Dudek senior staff, and complete background information and instructions will be provided for each project and site.Equipment needed for data collection will be provided by Dudek.Other duties as assigned.May require driving at night.
    Minimum QualificationsHigh school degree, some college or university experience preferred.Experience using a pressure washing system or similar heavy machinery.Must possess a valid driver’s license and have active personal automobile liability insurance by the first day of employmentThe ability to work on weekends and holidays as needed.

    Dudek is seeking as needed Watercraft Inspection Field Technician Lead to conduct watercraft inspections, reporting, on-site surveys, customer service, outreach and education, and interaction with the public and partners of the Department of Water Resources (DWR) and California State Parks.  Work will be conducted in the field at DWR locations at Lake Oroville in Butte County, CA. Field Leads will conduct outreach and education for each watercraft owner/operator and will physically and visually inspect all watercraft for aquatic invasive species and assess risk in accordance with control guidance and according to established protocol. The Field Leads are responsible for the daily oversight and coordination of inspection station teams. This role ensures that all safety protocols are followed and that employee timekeeping, attendance, and meal/rest break compliance are maintained. Acting as the primary onsite point of contact, the Field Lead promptly addresses logistical issues and incidents to maintain smooth and efficient field operations. Training will be provided by Dudek. This role ensures all safety protocols are rigorously followed, thew equipment is properly maintained and fully operational, and that all decontamniation staff receive thorough and ongoing training. Decontamination Leads will be responsible for decontaminating each watercraft for aquatic invasive species and assess risk in accordance with control guidance and according to established protocol.     Duties and Responsibilities Own and manage all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to the decontamination program.Oversee maintenance and accurate logging of all decontamination equipment.Manage inventory and procurement of decontamination supplies to ensure uninterrupted operations.Provide on-site field oversight of the decontamination program to ensure compliance and effectiveness.Conduct quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) reviews of all decontamination processes and procedures.Serve as a liaison with decontamination vendors and external service providers.Maintain and administer the decontamination vendors and external service providers.Maintain and administer the decontamination training program for all staff, ensuring proper knowledge and certifications. Lead and supervise the decontamination team during on-site operations.Address day-to-day questions and concerns from field personnel promptly and effectively.Respond immediately to on-site issues requiring resolution to minimize disruptions.Facilitate clear communication between management, field leads, and crews to maintain alignment and operation success.Other duties as assigned.May require driving at night.

    How You’ll Make an Impact
    The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Senior Field Coordinator plays a key role in promoting Dudek’s safety programs and success of the Watercraft Inspection Program. This position supports the safety team and program management by assisting with the implementation of field safety protocols, delivering key safety communications, managing equipment and PPE distribution, and supporting the onboarding and training of field staff.
    Working under the guidance of the EHS team and program leadership, the EHS Field Coordinator will help ensure that day-to-day field operations align with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and internal best practices. This individual will also assist with incident response, field audits, and the coordination of certifications and compliance documentation.
    This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in field operations and a solid understanding of safety procedures, who thrives in a team environment and is committed to fostering a safety-first culture across all field teams.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Support the EHS team and program management in implementing field safety policies and procedures.Serve as a field liaison for safety communication, delivering daily/weekly safety briefings and updates.Assist with onboarding and training of new field staff, ensuring completion of required safety certifications and documentation.Monitor PPE inventory, distribute supplies, and ensure proper use and maintenance of safety equipment.Conduct routine field safety walk-throughs, check-ins, and compliance spot checks.Document and report safety observations, near misses, and incidents; assist in incident investigations and follow-up actions.Coordinate and maintain records related to safety training, certifications, and incident reports.Support the roll-out of new safety initiatives and program improvements.Assist with the development of field-specific job hazard analyses (JHAs) and safe work procedures.Foster a safety-minded culture among field staff through positive reinforcement and visibility in the field.Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma required.At least 2+ years of field-based experience in environmental, construction, public works, or similar field settings.Familiarity with California OSHA regulations, NFPA standards, and field safety best practices.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with field teams.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively under the direction of a safety or management team.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and adaptable to mobile-based technologies; willingness to learn and use internal systems such as WID.Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including both day and occasional evening hours, to accommodate field safety coverage needs.Proactive, approachable, and adaptable in fast-paced, dynamic environments.CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).Must possess a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and active personal automobile liability insurance by first day of employment.Preferred QualificationsAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with internal teams and field staff.Leadership skills and strong ability to work in a collaborative environment; Strong customer service emphasis and solution-oriented approach to challenges; Ability to work in dynamic, fast-paced environments with minimal oversight; 
    Compensation: $26-36.05/hr*
    *Final agreed-upon compensation will be based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s related experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location. Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check prior to beginning employment.

    Working Conditions:
    EnvironmentThis job operates in a remote or office-based environment and this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, etc.This job will require occasional project site visits, based outdoors which can include excessive noise, uneven walking surfaces, extreme weather, and moving vehicles and equipment.Physical Requirements
    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. This job requires the following:Working on a computer, sitting, or standing for long periods of time in an office or remote office setting.Employees must be capable of bending, squatting, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 35 lbs. unassisted; 50lbs in a team lift (two or more employees).Attending meetings, both in person and virtually, and speaking on the phone with peers, clients, etc. Specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
