Precision sheet metal fabrication business needs to replace a retiring long-term member of our team. A variety of duties touch on a range of bookkeeping & HR responsibilities along with other aspects of a thriving small manufacturer. You will be part of a two-person administrative team and be cross trained accordingly. Primary need is excellent attention to detail and a self-starter attitude. Open office environment allows support and interaction with other co-workers as needed. This is a 100% in-office position.
Most of the daily activities are a combination of the following:
Manage full-cycle AP
Process weekly payroll through Paychex
Perform monthly bank & account reconciliations
Prepare monthly financial statements & reports
Maintain the general ledger
Manage day-to-day HR requirements for a small company as needed (we have the Paychex HR module as a resource)
Manage insurance policies
Coordinate with outside accountants at year-end
We are looking for someone with 3+ years of bookkeeping experience with an understanding of GAAP. Proficiency in accounting software & Excel is needed. A familiarity with JobBoss ERP is helpful. A high degree of accuracy and discretion is required.

Understands the use of equipment, sheet loader, and laser conveyor.Determines parts to be cut and selects desired cutting program.Ensures sheet metal is properly positioned on cutting surface.Completion of work orders required for that shift in a timely fashion following the correct order schedule.Monitors laser machine during cutting process.Conducts ongoing visual inspection of parts, ensuring correct sizes and tolerances, before forwarding to next procedureCount all pieces to ensure correct quantities, and complete necessary paperwork, tags, and quality enhancement sheets.Performs preventative and daily maintenance on laser machine as required.Identify opportunities for improvement.Maintain and practice good housekeeping.Follows and comply with all Operational Procedures and policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook, Quality and Environment programs (ISO)Any other duties as may be assigned.Characteristics
