Industrial Technicians are first‐line responders who are cross‐trained to provide a wide range of services across multiple industries. These services include, but are not limited to, emergency spill response, remediation, industrial cleaning, remediation, waste handling, amongst other . Daily work may involve confined space entry, spill cleanup, decontamination, high‐pressure washing, sweeping, shoveling, and other labor‐intensive activities.
This role works closely with Project Managers, Drivers, Account Managers, and Customers in a supporting capacity
Job Responsibilities
Weekend work is requiredMaintain dependable and consistent attendance to meet work schedule requirementsRespond to emergency/time‐critical incidents including chemical releases, natural disasters, derailments, and spills affecting soil or waterPerform physical labor associated with cleanup, sample collection, waste removal, and remediationPerform industrial cleaning projects using equipment such as super sucker, trailer mounted vacuums, ride‐along sweepers, water blasters, surface cleaners, and pressure washers amongst othersOperate power and pneumatic tools such as air compressors, saws, drills, grinders, jackhammers, rivet busters, air scrapers, and pumpsUse hand tools, squeegees, shovels, brooms, absorbent boom, and pads to contain and remediate impacted soils and watersPerform manual labor requiring periods of extensive physical exertionConduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned equipmentAssist with equipment setup, teardown, and decontaminationFollow all safety rules, regulations, policies, and site‐specific safety plansParticipate in performance initiatives and 5S cleanliness standardsAttend communication meetings and complete Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)Wear required PPE including FR uniforms, hard hat, safety glasses, steel‐toe boots, leather gloves, respirator, and protective clothing as neededMaintain supplies and equipment in an organized mannerAssist with warehouse, building, and grounds maintenanceComplete daily timesheets, JHAs, spill reports, labels, and manifestsLift 50+ lbs routinely and wear PPE for extended periodsAssist with job site setup and teardownFollow all safety procedures and company protocolsPerform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Valid driver’s licenseAbility to pass a pre‐employment physical, drug screen, and alcohol testAbility to pass a background screeningMust meet company auto insurance requirementsOSHA HAZWOPER 40‐hour certification (or ability to obtain)Must be 18 years or olderAbility to read, write, and understand English and follow written/verbal instructionsAbility to work rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
