    Job Description BAE Systems Intelligence Security Sector (I S) Intelligence Solutions (IS) Business Area is seeking a Business Development (BD) Director to lead our efforts at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Reporting directly to the (IS) Vice President, Business Development, this leadership position will be responsible for the analysis of DHS requirements, strategic objectives, funding profiles, and organizational dynamics to identify, prioritize and develop new business opportunities. The DHS BD Director will serve as the liaison between the Government and BAE Systems providing insight on customer mission gaps and objectives to BAE Systems Engineers and leadership. Technology and solution focus areas include cloud solutions, cyber security, artificial intelligence, and operations. This position requires an understanding of the DHS mission, end users and buying organization and an entrepreneurial spirit. Mastery of motivational leadership, analytical thought, executive communication are required to bring value to customers and drive growth for BAE Systems. This individual is accountable for pipeline identification and qualification metrics; annual submit and awards goals; and meaningful customer meetings. In addition, the successful candidate will participate and provide direction to the cloud solutions marketing strategy for the IS Business Area to achieve maximum market awareness for the targeted segments. This position is located in Sterling, VA with virtual and hybrid work options. Regular travel to customer and company locations is required. Specific responsibilities include: Identify and develop DHS pipeline with a focus on cloud, cyber, and AI opportunities Develop and execute strategic and tactical contact and qualification plans for the capture of key opportunities Obtain marketing intelligence and competitive data pertaining to potential targeted pursuits, and develop marketing strategies Participate in bid decisions, development of cost strategies and lead phase reviews Establish, build, and maintain customer relationships and assess competitor capabilities Support creation and execution of multi-year business development strategies Participate in IRAD and B P planning as well as overhead budgets Required Education, Experience, Skills Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related discipline. Military experience can be substituted. Minimum of 12 years of relevant BD experiences to include meaningful DHS expertise. Prior military of civilian services may be substituted. Demonstrated experiences in bringing delivering technology solutions to Federal Government Track record of success in leading and winning contracts $50M Ability to identify, establish and use important customer relationships with senior level officials and program stakeholders within defense and intelligence community Experience leading opportunity captures including developing overall win strategy; shaping deals with customers; developing teaming strategies, identifying and closing with teammates; and understanding pricing and assist in developing winning price Demonstrated background in solution selling and developing new markets with proven leadership from inception to fruition of a strategic campaign Direct and support new business development opportunities to improve the company s business portfolio to include marketing and customer call plans Ability to develop, document, and execute a plan for achieving awards/growth Knowledge of Government contracting and current acquisition trends and customer buying behaviors Knowledge of competitors and ability to model competitor behaviors in the market Excellent writing communication skills with experience presenting to senior executives and customers Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $159300 - $270800 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. St. David's South Austin Medical Center is a Level II trauma designated facility with 368 beds, open ICU, and our physicians are not required to do procedures. During the day shift (7a-7p) there are a total of 2 APCs and 8 physicians working; 7 of the rounding physicians with 1 admitter (each day-hospitalist does this every 3-4 months) and at night we have 2 nocturnists (7p-7a). The daily rounding census averages around 22 encounters per physician, expecting 15-16 admissions for the AM admitter and APCs and there are on average 16-18 admissions at night that are covered by 2 nocturnist physicians.
