    DN Tanks is seeking a skilled Carpenter Journeyman to join our craft labor team, with key responsibilities throughout all phases of the tank building process. Our carpenters set the pace of work, assisting other local workers with knowledge and guidance for performing the work safely and with quality, and help us keep the world's most precious resource safe.

    Carpenters are responsible for managing the following tasks at the direction of the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent and Foreman.

    Primary Responsibilities

    Complete assignments in a timely fashion with little supervision; ask for additional information when tasks or assignments are unclear and supports the daily plan.Understand the tank building process and identify the next tasks to be completed in the process.Interprets shoring drawings to install and remove shoring.Assist in forming pipe pits.Assist in training apprentices and new local workers.Follow safety procedures and understand DN Tanks safety policies.Plan safety into each operation and identify or remove hazards immediately as part of the task without being asked.Promote clean, safe work practices by watching over other employees while performing work.Follow quality control (QC) program, understand construction tolerances, and report any quality defects immediately.
    Qualifications

    Operate and maintain DN Tanks tools and equipment.Ability to travel to project sites throughout the United States at the direction of the Field Operations Manager.Ability to climb and perform tasks at heights on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders, shoring, and scaffolds.Ability to wear personal protective equipment including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.

    DN is seeking a skilled and innovative Mechanical Engineering Technician to design, develop, diagnose, and test equipment, including tools, engines, and machines. Working cross-functionally across multiple teams to maintain and improve the performance of current equipment; bring new products from concept to production, optimize mechanical systems, and work hands-on to solve engineering problems. If you have a desire and passion to work with machines, work through complex issues, and own machine engineering for all equipment across the organization, we invite you to apply! Equipment Performance & EnhancementsDesign and develop mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems and components using CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD), including engineering calculations, FEA simulations, and creation of technical drawings, specifications, sketches, and purchase requests.Prototype, test, validate, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, including pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, and control systems, ensuring performance, safety, reliability, and manufacturability.Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate systems and support development of equipment, machinery, and measurement instruments.Apply deep technical knowledge in hydraulics, electronics, mechanics, engines, motors, prestressing, mechanics of materials, PLCs, and basic coding.Oversee documentation and cost evaluation, including operations manuals, maintenance schedules, fabrication/assembly planning, and estimation of labor, materials, and installation/testing costs.Field Operations SupportSupport field equipment troubleshooting.Collaborate with equipment Operators to support operations.Provide hands-on support and assistance of field staff on the job as needed.Analyze performance results, make recommendations for improvements, troubleshoot issues.Coordinate field equipment set up and calibration for optimal operation. Equipment Maintenance SupportAssist the maintenance department in coordination with equipment/parts suppliersSpecify maintenance schedule for machines and equipment. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operation.Troubleshoot mechanical issues and diagnose problems in machinery and related systems.Recommend the repair or replace worn or malfunctioning parts and equipment.Run performance tests and interpret the results to make effective recommendations to fix faulty or broken equipment.Set up and conduct tests of complete units and components under operational conditions to investigate proposals for improving equipment performance.Travel to project sites as needed to assist in observation and troubleshooting of specialty equipment. Requirements & QualificationsBachelors degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.Familiarity with hydraulic control systems, PLC, and electrical controls and operation.2+ years experience in a Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technician, or similar.Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, and control systems.Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams.Knowledge of PLC systems and electrical charging systems, ability to diagnose problems.Ability to travel as needed.This is our good faith estimate of the base salary compensation range for this opportunity. This includes assisting in training apprentices, journeymen, and other field personnel to ensure all tasks are performed safely and with high quality.Primary ResponsibilitiesUnderstands how the Carpenter interacts with a Laborer during the tank building process and can direct the work as required.Establishes crews, assigns responsibilities and follows through on assigned work to meet the project timeline.Reads and interprets tank drawings and construction information package to ensure work is performed according to specifications.Inventories material upon delivery to ensure components comply with the contract drawings prior to signature.Involved in daily closeout meetings with the Superintendent providing an update on the day’s activities and needs for the following day. Follows quality control (QC) program, understands construction tolerances, and reports any quality defects immediately.Checks and confirms elevation grades and plumbness on critical tank components. Follows and upholds safety procedures and understands DN Tanks safety policies.Identifies hazards, takes action to correct them, and is responsible for recognizing those who do the same in accordance with the Award of Excellence (AOE) Program.Promotes clean, safe work practices by watching over other employees while performing work. Provide coaching and training while motivating the team to produce quality work and ensure all safety standards are met with all individuals on the project. Maintain all certifications in compliance with DN Tanks Safety & Equipment Programs. Performs all jobsite layout utilizing survey equipment under direction of the Superintendent. Supports the training program by working closely with other traveling tank builders and utilizing all resources available in DN University.QualificationsOperate and maintain DN Tanks tools and equipment.Ability to travel to project sites throughout the United States at the direction of the Field Operations Manager. Ability to climb and perform tasks at heights on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders, shoring, and scaffolds. Ability to wear personal protective equipment including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.Ability to complete DN Tanks crane certification.
